Funchal, hotel apartment, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the 5th floor, beach waterfront location down from the 'Forum Madeira' Shopping Centre in a resort on the sea Promenade with swimming pool and childrens pool. Two Lifts/Elevators up to the apartment. Private hotel apartment with open modern kitchen, living room with cable flat screen TV, HI-FI and DVD player. Free WI-FI Internet connection in all rooms. 2 large balconies, fantastic sea views. Quit location with no traffic. Large car park free of charge. Direct beach location and in the area restaurants, bars, shopping centre, supermarket. Within 1 km radius over 100 restaurants and 100 shops. Unique location !

Hotel reception 24-7. Maid service every week and new towels, linen, soap and toilet paper. The hotel apartment has recently been renovated.

After arriving with my family in Madeira for the second time - Jan was there to meet us and showed my family and I around his beautiful apartments. This apartment that my uncle and I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with the most amazing scenery and views across the sea. There was plenty of crockery and utensils for a family of 4 and a washing machine which was a must!!! We all had the most wonderful holiday, and Jan was always on hand if we needed information about the island. We will all be definately seeing you again next year Jan, and many thanks once again for the use of your wonderful apartment

We are now back home but wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous time at your apartment.
We all had a wonderful week and would recommend both the accommodation and Funchal to anyone.
The transfers to and from the airport was ideal and hassle free.
The apartment is a perfect place to explore Funchal, or just relax by the pool.

Great Holiday!

We were a little worried about our choice of holiday as we usually book a house with a private pool but we needn't have worried. The apartment was large and comfortable with the most amazing sea views. It had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations from the description given. The pool area was quiet and well maintained and the beach was just through a little gate - which also gave access to a beach path towards the centre of Funchal. There were shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance and bus stops close by to take advantage of the local bus pass which was excellent value for money. Jan was very helpful in answering our many questions before we arrived and met us at the apartment with all the information we needed. He was also on hand to sort out any minor problems such as where to leave our luggage before the evening flight. He also put us in contact with Strawberry World who run airport transfers and excellent island tours (very good value). We liked Praia Formosa, loved Funchal and thoroughly enjoyed Madeira. We particularly enjoyed early evenings at the beach bars but the best of the holiday was the lovely apartment we went back to each day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Ideal beach front location

The location of this fabulous apartment is right on the beach providing excellent views and sunsets. It is within walking distance of several fine restaurants and the Forum Madeira shopping centre which provides fashion shops, cinemas, restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment is modern and well equipped with everythiong you could need. The two large balconies are ideal for relaxing and dining.
We have visited several times over the last few years and would definately recomend this apartment.

Great apartment

The apartment was comfortable,very clean, well equiped and spacious, with wonderful sea views / sunsets. You waken up to the sound of the waves on the beach.

Jan was there to meet us from the taxi he arranged to pick us up from the airport (reasonable and prompt). After he showed us to the apartment he gave us lots of info about the complex and sournding area. The reception is manned 24 hours with helpful staff.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is for you, a bit out of Funchal, but Funchal town centre is easily accessible, just a short bus or taxi ride away, a courtesy bus runs from the hotel next door or walk about 50mins.

The pool side bar was not open when we were there, but there is a beach bar and a garage bar both less than 100 m away, both fun in a different way, or the hotel bar.
The Fish restaurant and the beach bar are both excellent value and serve good food.

It is worth paying 1 euro a day for the lift key that saves you walking up loads of steps to the main road.

Would we book again? YES PLEASE!!!
