Internet: The apartment has a broadband internet connection which is available for guests to use at no extra charge.
This apartment is exactly as described, and will not disappoint. It is very large for a studio, with ample room to move around even with all beds in use. Nice kitchen with all the essentials for cooking in. Owners were great, very quick to respond with any questions, and have really thought of everything in advance. Plenty of bedding for any type of weather, great shower, newer washer and dryer, and the extra sink makes it very convenient for a family. Tesco, Sainsbury, and plenty of take away places make it very convenient. Earls Court station connects easily with all major sites in London, as well as train stations. Very family friendly. Will definitely book again next time we are in London!
This is a terrific apartment - and very spacious! I spent a couple of nights in each of the beds with my daughter, and was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they both were. The murphy bed has a really thick comfortable mattress on it, and with the help of the rubber bands that hold the sheets and comforter in place, it goes up and down as a fully made bed, so there is no inconvenience to storing it when it's not needed. It's also very easy to lift - my 9 year old daughter was able to do it. We actually just kept both beds open the whole 5 days we were there since there was still plenty of room to move around. The kitchen was bigger than expected, everything was super clean, and there were plenty of extra sheets and towels in the closet if needed. That closet was a nice bonus! There was enough room to use it as a dressing room when the bathroom was occupied and we kept all of our toothbrushes at that sink so it served as an extra partial bathroom. There were a couple of games in there too - scrabble, cards, and a wooden stick balancing game that my kids played several times.
The neighborhood was really great - dozens of restaurants to choose from, and bakeries, and a couple of different grocery stores. I really liked the area - we walked to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground - an absolute MUST if you have children. We went back a second time and took in more of Kensington Park while we were there. We also walked to Holland Park and spent a couple hours at the really nice playground there. One of the reasons I booked this apartment was because of its close proximity to the Science Museum and the Museum of Natural History (both free) so we could find a way to survive in London for the week without spending so much money. Turns out, we spent all the time we would have spent in those museums in Holland Park, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park instead. They are all so incredibly beautiful!!! It was so nice walking around in this neighborhood - we felt like locals. Transportation to other areas in central London was easy from the Earl's Court Tube station just around the corner. It's also on the Piccadilly Line direct to Heathrow - very convenient. Thank you Hilary, we really enjoyed our stay! Happy to refer friends to you in the future - hope we have an opportunity to return.
We were a little nervous having paid the full amount up front, so it was a relief to arrive and find the key waiting for this beautiful little studio.
As a family of 4, we were expecting it to be a bit cramped, but there was a surprising amount of room with both beds pulled out, even with the amount of luggage that comes with a family on an overseas holiday. In fact, we never felt the need to fold either bed up the entire 10 days. This studio is a real gem, close to everything we needed and was really nicely fitted out. There is plenty of good quality bedding, the kitchen is clean and well supplied and it was warm and cosy. For a central location, we also found it extremely quiet.
This was our first apartment letting experience and it has set the standard for us.
We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone coming to London.
We really enjoyed our stay at David and Hilary's flat in London. The location is perfect with easy access to the Tube. No car needed! Other sites are within 20 minutes walking distance (V&A Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park). Lots of options for food, beverages and dining out. The Picadilly line takes you straight to Heathrow for an added bonus. The flat was clean and had everything we would want. Highly recommend this flat!
We just got back 2 hours ago and i couldn't stay without giving my immediate feedback.
At first i was skeptical since i had to pay everything in advance, although Hilary always replied to my emails promptly and everything looked perfectly fine. But paying in advance to someone you dont know in a foreign county and through a site which i found many bad reviews about was not easy. I decided to trust my guts and other reviews here and thank God for that.
The apartment was spotless. Very clean and surprisingly very spacious. Apt is close to all amenities. Just 2 streets away from underground and one street away from supermarkets and loads of pubs in the vicinities. Beds are exceptionally comfortable and also cushions plus apt is furnished with practically everything, tea, honey, washing liquid soap we even had handsoap and baking paper. Area was very poshy with nice houses and expensive cars. We were 3 women and felt perfectly safe plus there seem to be a camera right outside the door which made us feel even more safe. Key safe was easy to use and place was very easy to find since its close to the hotel.
THank you for everything we REALLY enjoyed our stay.
