Built in 1697and one of the oldest houses in Fulham, Egmont Lodge retains many original period features. Decorated and furnished to a high standard by the owners who are interior designers. Gate with entry phone access leads to a paved walled front garden.The front door opens into a spacious hall leading into stunning oak panelled drawing room with views over the garden and has a Jacobean fireplace and gas log fire. The elegant wood panelled dining room seats 10 and also has a gas log fire. There is a large and well equipped kitchen which has French doors leading outside onto the terrace and walled garden. At the end of the garden is a delightful covered eating area for 10 with gas bbq. Downstairs there is a separate WC and laundry room. The 1st floor has 2 spacious bedrooms both en-suite with separate bath and walk-in showers. A further flight of stairs leads you to 3 more bedrooms, 1 large double with sofa and 2 twins sharing a large bathroom. Garage parking is available.

There is a self contained semi-basement flat/apartment in this property which can sleep 3 guests, please see property ref no 838192 on this site in case additional accommodation is required.

Real Luxury, such friendly hosts, amazing catering

A groups of 4 stayed at this amazing house just off Parsons Green - the position is perfectly reached via bus 22 and Tube at Putney Bridge. Excellent eating in the area, the rooms and house are the best ever stated at in the UK - so elegant, well kept, incredible attention to detail. Breakfast is 5 star, better than any luxury hotel!

Wonderful, amazing place to stay!

We stayed at this wonderful, historic house last summer, it's just the most amazing house. So comfortable and the interior design is exceptional, it has everything...close to the river, amazing restaurants and easy to get to the centre of London. A real treat to stay in such superb and homely surroundings with all mod cons!

Excellent experience.

We have stayed several times and the hosts, Annie and Andrew, are wonderful.
Andrew's breakfasts are as good as any first class hotel, the garden is a beautiful place to relax after being out all day.
Have recommended to many friends who all love going back.

Perfekt for London visitors

We were a group of 6 adults visiting the London 2012 Paralympic Games. A fantastic experience which was topped by this perfect domicil. The kitchen is fitted to highest standards, living-, dining-, and bedrooms offer all the comfort you need after a day in the town. The weather permitted breakfast in the lovely garden - a perfect start of the day. Shops are just across the river, 5 mins. walk away. The District line and busses are just around the corner. I can realy recommend a stay here. Sometimes the doors stick a little and the floor creeks a bit, but that belongs to the charm of a 17th century house.
We had a slight communication problem about transfering the deposit, but it worked out in the end. All in all Annie and Andrew are friendly and correct hosts, who do everything to make their guests feel at home.
We would certainly stay here again and recommend this house to our friends.

The house is a short walk from Bishops Park which houses Fulham Palace and adjacent to the River Thames. Fulham Palace is a remarkable place. The estate was owned by the Bishops of London for over 1300 years and the Palace was their country home from at least the 11th century. It was vacated by the Bishops in 1975 and is now open to the public. The Palace has wonderful grounds and restaurant. Putney Bridge tube station (district line), a 3 min walk, making the West End very accessible. There are also excellant bus links with 24/7 service. There are many local restaurants, cafes, shops and cinema all within walking distance. If you walk over Putney Bridge (5 min) there is a High Street with all your shopping needs catered for inc supermarkets, many restaurants and bars overlooking the river. Egmont Lodge is in a cul-de-sac leading towards the very beautiful local church.

Bedrooms 3, 4 and 5 are on the second floor. Bedroom 3 (5.15 m x 4.0 m) is a large, light and airy room with sofa and views overlooking the back garden. Bedroom 4 is a twin room.
