The Artist's House, a semi-attached unit, is located in Neve Yosef, Eastern Haifa. It is located in a neighbourhood that was built by the British during the Mandate, for officers from the Jewish Brigade. We are pleased to announce that the Artist’s House has received a certificate from the IBB project of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. IBB classification system examines about 140 various criteria in accordance with international standards: quality, service, truth in advertising and availability in the bed and breakfasts industry. When possible we offer a pick-up service from the train/bus station.
The house is built on the slopes of the Carmel, overlooking the bay of Haifa and has a hall, small kitchen, bathroom and living/sleeping room. The living room is cosy and has the feeling of a real home with a library and art works giving it a welcoming atmosphere.
A short lane leads to the little house that is situated in a quiet area, amongst trees on the Carmel Mount. Although there is a country atmosphere about the place, you will be living in the middle of the city, close to good transport systems and easy access to great beaches, two major university campuses and shopping centres. Our best advertise is that our guests return to us!
My daughter and I stayed here for 8 days. We were comfortable and warmly welcomed. The apartment has a kitchen, living/sleeping room, and a large bathroom, with storage space in hall closets. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The Wi-fi worked great. We were so comfortable here! It really felt like home.
But what makes the Artist's House so special is Janet and Amos, the hosts. The apartment is attached to their home. They invited us in to enjoy wine and snacks the first evening, They are warm, interesting people. Staying here was like enjoying the guest room of family friends. They were useful sources of information about sights to see and how to get there, and they even gave us a ride to go shopping one morning. (In case you're wondering, they both speak perfect English too -- it is Janet's first language.)
The apartment itself is situated on a hillside on the north side of Haifa. Haifa is not all that big; it is easy to get around. We had a car, but there are buses that stop in the neighborhood. I loved coming home to a neighborhood rather than an informal hotel. I felt almost as if I lived there.
I would absolutely recommend this apartment. I feel like I have friends in Haifa after staying here. --Donna (and Liat) from Minnesota
Not only are Janet and Amos wonderful hosts, providing everything from homemade biscuits to a lovely book collection, they are also erudite and charming. In a half-hour they had already given me a great deal to think about, as well as two contacts in Israel specifically helpful to me. The room could not be better, with a separate entrance, private bath and a kitchen. I highly recommend staying with them should you have the chance.
We had a wonderful time staying in this cute apartment in the out-skirts of Haifa. The view over the town and all the way to the sea is stunning, specially at night. The apartment is cosy and very comfortable. Janet and Amos gave us a warm welcome and left goodies in the fridge. Although Haifa is situated in the north of Israel, it is central enough to visit most interesting places and come back home in the evening. Thanks again to Janet and Amos, we hope to come back one day. greetings from Spain, Ursula and Herbert
The studio apartment, a semi-attached unit,is located in Eastern Haifa, in the small multi-cultural community of Neve Yosef. The building is in a neighbourhood that was built by the British during the Mandate, for officers from the Jewish Brigade. It is located on the slopes of the Carmel, overlooking the bay of Haifa, 10 min from central Haifa, 15 min from the Technion, 20 min from Haifa University.
Haifa is Israel's best kept secret. It is a quiet, beautiful, residential city with a decidedly European flavour, great beaches, two major university campuses. Neveh Yosef is a village in the middle of the city of Haifa with quick access to northern Israel. At the bottom of the Carmel Mount are some of Israel's best beaches and at the top is the Carmel Forest.
