This self catering rental is ideal for family summer and winter breaks and is located in a scenic region of Austria. The property has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep eight. There is an upstairs bathroom with sauna and a downstairs shower room. The kitchen has all the expected conveniences of a modern chalet, including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition to the living room which has cable television and internet access, a sun room with beautiful views over the cosy village of Stadl provides the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy your holiday to the full. The property also has a storage room which contains a heated book rack so ensuring you enjoy your skiing to the full. The chalet is part of a new development which will be completed by December 2007. An indoor heating swimming pool is in the process of being built and this will be available for use by residents of the chalet complex.

Location: Austria

Nearest Airport: Salzburg at 120 Kilometres
Car: necessary
The chalet is located in village of Stadl, which is part of the Murtal region. Excellent skiing facilities exist at the nearby Kreischberg (5 minutes drive), Turracher Hohe (20 minutes drive) and Lactel (30 minutes drive) mountains (to name just a few). There is an abundance of ski schools with multi-lingual instructors. The village of Stadl where the chalet is located has an outdoor man-made lake which during the summer acts as a swimming pool and during the winter acts as an ice skating rink. The village also has the fine Murtalhof Hotel which serves excellent local cuisine. For the more adventurous, white water rafting can be arranged at this hotel. In the nearby village of St. Lorenzen, an 18 hole golf course has recently open and is reportedly a good test for the average handicapper. The pleasant town of Murau is just 10 minutes drive away. Murau boosts many fine restaurants. Further away is the town of Judenberg (c. 40 minutes) which has large shopping centers.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Depending on the number in the group, an additional cleaning fee of between €55 and €75 is payable locally for each rental. Additional cleaning can be arranged for longer stays. A reservation deposit of 10% is payable in advance with balance of rental payable 2 weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of €200 is payable on booking. This deposit will be returned to the guest on confirmation from the chalet owner's representative that the chalet has been left in reasonable order.
