Chalet Gypaete has four floors including a garage, ski storage area and boot room. The basement has an entrance hall, laundry, boot room, WC and drying room. The first floor has four bedrooms, all with access to the main balcony and garden - one double bedroom with en-suite shower room, one bedroom with two single beds and a further two bedrooms each with bunk beds. There are two additional shower / bathrooms on this floor. The second floor has a spacious open plan living room with log fire open to the mezzanine floor above creating a feeling of space with dining area and and well-equipped kitchen. French doors open onto a terrace with magnificent views of the mountains. The master bedroom suite is on the top floor with a luxurious en suite bathroom, including spa bath and shower and relaxing sitting area with fantastic views. The chalet is furnished to a very high standard throughout with under floor heating and plenty of hot water. The village is 5 minutes walk from the chalet.
The unspoilt family village of Veysonnaz is perched high on the mountainside and offers panoramic views of the Rhone valley and surrounding mountains. As part of the four valleys, Veysonnaz boasts one of the largest ski areas in Europe with over 400kms of piste and 100 lifts to elevate to the mountaintops. From Veysonnaz you can ski to the world famous resort of Verbier. In the summer this huge ski area becomes a massive mountain top parkland with 300 kms of sign posted walks. The village facilities include several restaurants, bars, nightclub and supermarkets plus a swimming pool and wellness centre. With little traffic it is a safe environment for children to explore and do the early morning baguette shop for breakfast. Sion, the oldest town in Switzerland, is just 20 minutes away, which hosts many attractions including a priory, fort, Europe’s largest underground lake, historic cobbled streets with a myriad of restaurants, shops and a weekly market.
