Superb apartment in a super location. Close to beach and old village.

This modern home is a luxury apartment offering every comfort for the discerning holidaymaker. Leather sofas, satellite TV, built-in kitchen appliances and to top it all a fantastic sea view through the patio windows that lead on to the large balcony.

The stunning lounge is furnished with your comfort in mind. It has satellite TV, DVD player, radio/CD and ipod player, whilst the modern kitchen and dining area is equipped for your convenience. Built-in appliances include electric oven, 4 ring gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. With a microwave and all other kitchen utensils supplied, all you need do is turn up and relax.

Continued from top of page: Along the hall are 2 large bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed plus plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for your holiday outfits. It has the added luxury of its own en-suite. The second bedroom is a large room with two single beds, again, having more than ample space for your holiday wardrobe. Completing the apartment is a large, fully tiled bathroom having bath as well as a separate shower cubicle.

Outside the apartment is an appointed car space and, for your enjoyment, a communal garden adjoining the cliff top.

The apartment itself is in a super location in Shanklin, recently named one of the sunniest resorts in the British Isles. Being only 5 minutes walk from this olde world village with its thatched cottages and tea-rooms, 4 minutes walk from the entrance to Shanklin Chine and 3 minutes walk from the path down to the safe, sandy beach, the only problem you’ll have on holiday is deciding where to spend the day.

You’ll be spoilt for choice in the evenings, too, with a number of good quality pubs and restaurants in the village, as well as the usual ‘take-aways’. If you’d rather travel further afield, the island is home to some top class eateries where you may find yourself dining alongside some well-known celebrities.

Our apartment is situated in a superb location with sea views. It is on the coastal path between Ventnor to the south and Sandown to the north. 5 min walk will take you to the old village with its thatched tea rooms and restaurants. Just down the road is Rylstone Gardens with its bandstand and also the entrance to Shanklin Chine, a truly wonderful walk through leafy glades which is illuminated during the summer evenings. At the foot of the Chine is Fishermans Cottage, the pub on the beach (which can also be reached by coastal path, just a 8 min walk from our apartment).

Buses run frequently around the island with open-topped as an option. The nearest bus stop is 2- 3 min walk down the road alongside a large open park which has its own pond and ducks.

The island has many attractions for both adults and children alike including Osborne house, the favourite seaside home of Queen Victoria.

Our apartment is an ideal base for the perfect holiday. More information at foot of page.

Other Activities: Geocaching, hang-gliding, kite surfing, theatre, various festivals and shows

Golf: Several golf courses on the island as well as pitch and putt courses. The nearest being 2 km away.

A fantastic modern apartment with more than enough room for a family with two young children. Very relaxing accommodation and the kids loved it. A very convenient location close to two parks, the sea, coastal path and the beach - sea views from the balcony too. We will return!
Owner's Response: So pleased everyone enjoyed themselves! A quiet location yet within just a few minutes of parks, beach and shops. 3 minutes walk from the apartment is a lovely park with birds and a bandstand, a few more minutes the other way is a large park and the local duck pond.Entrance to the Chine is just 3-4 minutes away and well worth the entrance money as, not only is it very pretty, but there is a lot of interesting information given at the foot of the Chine before the exit.

Lovely apartment with everything we needed for our stay.

Good communication from Bev the owner both before and after our visit.

Owner's Response: We have tried to equip the apartment with everything a holiday maker needs for their stay whether it be a fortnight or a few nights. We may have forgotten something though but will always take suggestions from guests and try to act on them. Communication is important so guests aren't wondering what will happen next - it reassures them that all they have to do is turn up and enjoy a relaxing break.

The apartment is really nice, spotless and huge!! The weather was cold so we stayed a lot in the apartment and we really enjoyed it! It is really one of the best rental we had and we will recommend it without a doubt!
Owner's Response: Something we cannot arrange is the weather, although we would love to! - but the apartment is spacious and being centrally heated and on the 1st floor, is very cosy. We're pleased the cold weather outside didn't spoil the experience.

Immaculate spacious apartment with good decor. Easy walk to Shanklin village or the beach. I'd recommend it to anyone!

We have tried to furnish it so guests feel comfortable as well as a little pampered - after all, you want to feel happy to come back after a day on the nearby beach or a day out walking the many footpaths, or whatever it is you like to do on your holiday.

Fantastic Apartment

The Apartment was all as described - (if not even better, very luxurious). We had a fantastic holiday, and would recommend to all our friends and family. I cannot walk long distances, but the stroll down to Shanklin village was even close enough for me. Correspondence with the owners (Bev & Tim) was excellent and hopefully we will be staying here again. Thanks again, Paul and Gill.
Owner's Response: The village is a very short walk away, where you'll find shops, bars and restaurants - all you'll need for some fine evening dining. A lovely park with a bandstand and some canaries, finches and budgerigars is also only a very short walk away, as is the entrance to the lovely Shanklin Chine - walk through here down to the beach (there is a charge for the Chine). At the bottom of the Chine there is an interesting story about the Pluto line - the pipeline that went under the sea to France during the war..... it's all here at Shanklin!
