3 BR modern property min from the site of the historic Battle of Bannockburn

The property is decorated and furnished to the highest standard and will provide you with all the comforts required during your stay. From the moment you arrive you will not be disappointed; a large open plan kitchen/living room is the perfect space to gather with friends and family and unwind after a hard day’s sightseeing; the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier to ensure your stay at Milton Hayloft is a relaxing one.

Satellite TV is available through the large plasma TV screen in the Living room and in all the bedrooms on flat screen LCD TVs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite facilities, with an upstairs family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom and WC also being available. A further two bedrooms provide a king size bed and a twin bedded room enabling the property to comfortably sleep 6 people. Flexibility is provided in that both the king size beds can be split to form 2 single beds in each room if preferred.

Stirling is situated at the centre of Scotland and it has direct travel links to many of the major cities in Scotland – including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. There are many attractions in the local area, including, an historic castle which was believed to be the “key to Scotland” in medieval days, many nature walks and hill walking opportunities, numerous fine dining and entertainment establishments and the World’s only boat wheel – the Falkirk Wheel.

There are also many attractions for children all over the local area as well as shops, bakeries and sports opportunities galore as well as a fantastic safari park. There is also a microbrewery, golf course and fishing area should the adults wish to relax too!

Milton was a charming hamlet for many centuries and was built around the numerous mills set along the Bannock Burn Valley . Modern Milton still retains many of the original mill workers cottages and farm buildings, although modern housing has been added and renovation of the original buildings has enhanced the area. Milton Hayloft is a sympathetic modern property very much in keeping with the surrounding buildings.The historical Bannockburn Heritage Centre is only a 2 minute walk from the property and there are pubs and restaurants in the area. The Wallace Monument is a 2 min drive; on the way, stop off and visit the Old Stirling Bridge.

The surrounding countryside is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts: walking, cycling and paragliding are all on offer on the nearby Ochil Hills. Slightly further away are The Trossachs, Callander, Loch Lomond National Park, Glasgow and Edinburgh providing, therefore, the ideal central touring base for your holiday.

This property was easy to find from the directions provided and on arrival was in excellent condition. The description of the property was accurate and it was very well equipped. Shortly after we arrived we were met by the owner and her family who were extremely helpful and were available if we needed any assistance during our stay.
The property is ideally situated for exploring central Scotland - both Glasgow and Edinburgh are within 45 minutes driving time as are various lochs including Loch Lomond.
We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family.

With relatives in the Glasgow area, and the wonderful sight seeing opportunities in Edinburgh, we selected this cottage as is positioned us well for most of what we wanted to see. The cottage is very well equipped and very modern. Our family of six adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and it offered all the amenities we had hoped it would. Many sight to see in addition to Glasgow and Edinburgh. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This cute house may look small from the outside but surprisingly very spacious. Our family enjoyed our stay there and had a fantastic outing in Stirling albeit the cold early summer.

i cant recommend this holiday cottage enough. milton hayloft is a beautiful cottage to holiday in. its lovely to look at from the outside & has been extremely well decorated inside, when we got there it was even more lovely than the pictures show! very very well equipped with modern furnishings & the beds are extremely comfortable. very friendly welcome too from owner & members of their family. thank you for a lovely stay, we will definately be back.

Excellent place to stay

We only had a short stay, 3 nights, and found the Hayloft an excellent place to stay. Very well furnished and fitted out, very clean and easy to find. We were visiting the newly re-presented Stirling Castle - which is well worth the visit, and the Hayloft was ideal being so close to the town. We would definietly stay here again - Jon, Claire & Harry (1 1/2).
