We are close to the island's public golf course & tennis courts - and short drive to 5 challenging public and semi-private golf courses. The home is close to the historic downtown district filled with Northern Italian architecture, charming boutiques, antique stores, and first-rate restaurants. The Venice Little Theatre is a wonderful place to see some of the area's finest performances. After the theatre, enjoy a delicious dessert or evening snack at one of the many area restaurants or visit one of many nightspots offering dancing/live entertainers. You will find Venice offers many reasonably priced restaurants, shops & activities - providing a very affordable, fun-filled vacation for all ages!

Venice offers miles of bicycle-friendly streets and trails (also popular with joggers/walkers), including a trail along Intracoastal Waterway Park. (several bike rental locations). Charter fishing tours are also popular in Venice. Scuba Divers love the Reef! Within 20 minute drive, guests frequent: G.Wiz children museum, Mote Marine & Jungle Gardens of Sarasota and Natural Springs Spa (Northport). After the beach, relax at the house with family board games - scrabble, monopoly, candyland, trivia pursuit, etc., a book collection, or extensive cable TV channels. We have a very responsible/reasonably priced babysitter.
Venice Island is located in Southwest Florida, near Sarasota along the Gulf of Mexico's shoreline. The Venice area can accommodate your deepest desires to get away from it all. Spend an evening enjoying a romantic sunset on Venice Beach, then wake up early to rent a boat or share a picnic lunch on one of the private islands in the area. When the sea air has calmed your soul, further pamper yourself with a massage for two followed by a gourmet dinner at one of the area's many restaurants. Antiques anyone? It's easy to shop til you drop anywhere in the greater Venice area, but your shopping days won't be complete until you've ventured through the many antique shops on Miami Avenue in Downtown Venice. Stop for an afternoon ice cream cone or sweets at one of many delicious treat shops. When the shops have closed, enjoy an evening stroll.
