Well Appointed Apartment In An Ideal Location

Our party of five adults, was made up of two couples and our adult daughter, and as this was our first trip to Budapest, we had few expectations. As part of the rental contract, we were offered, and accepted, the facility of transfers to and from the apartment for a very reasonable fee (we arrived by train, and departed by air). On both occasions we were transported by delightfully helpful and friendly drivers.
We were met at the apartment by Eszter, who showed us the facilities, and handed over the keys. On the one occasion we had to contact her regarding two fans which were not working, we were most impressed by the prompt provision of two new fans. The apartment configuration was perfect for our needs, although the small single room was a little stuffy, as it only had a tiny window (hence the need for the fans). The kitchen was well equipped, the furnishings were comfortable, and it was clean. My husband was delighted to have free WiFi access.
From the apartment, we were able to walk to most locations, but had we needed to do so, we could have taken the underground train as the station was located at the end of the street.
Dining out in the area nearby was a delight, as we were able to choose from a variety of cuisines, including Italian, French and Hungarian. On our last evening, we even discovered a takeaway pizza shop! Numerous small supermarkets were situated within walking distance of the apartment, and a little fruit and vegetable shop was just a few doors away, so we did not lack for choice of provisions for the few meals we chose to eat at "home".
We loved Budapest, and hope that we will one day make a return visit, and we would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone planning a visit to Budapest.
