The Vila Marachique complex in Alvor is set in 4.8 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, with rolling green lawns and a large lake size swimming pool, with beach effect shallow end and swim-up pool bar and snack bar. The apartment offers spectacular panoramic views over the Western Algarve from every room towards the sea at Alvor and Lagos Bay. It has one double bedroom and a second bedroom with 3 full size single beds. A balcony leads off the sitting room; the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying al-fresco dining, sundowners and magnificent sunsets and an unforgettable Algarve holiday. Vila Marachique has security access at all entrances.

This is a wonderful apartment for a large family with plenty of room and beds for all. The apartment has spectacular views from all rooms and the balcony as can be seen from the pool photo which was taken without a zoom lens. The complex has a wonderful lagoon-style swimming pool and rolling green lawns, perfect for relaxing, sunbathing and for the kids to let off steam. The nearby village of Alvor has wonderful little shops, restaurants and bars spilling out onto the street, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The picturesque fishing village of Alvor is 1.4 km away from Vila Marachique and has a wonderful atmosphere, with pretty promenades, street cafes, excellent restaurants and interesting shops. The local bus service to Alvor and Portimão passes outside the complex. The Continente Shopping Centre and hypermarket in Portimão is 3km away. It has several cinemas with most movies in English. The Ria de Alvor nature reserve is 2km away and has lovely walks and bird watching. For livelier nightlife, Portimão Marina and Praia da Rocha, both 5km away, are popular locations, with plenty of restaurants, bars, discos and a casino. Golfing enthusiasts have an excellent choice of courses, including Alto, Penina, Morgado and Boavista.

Vila Marachique is also perfectly situated for golfers with easy access to many golf courses. The nearest golf courses to the apartment are Alto Golf Club at 1km and Penina at 7km.

Cheap flights can be booked to Faro Airport. You can also fly to Lisbon or Seville, both 2 hours away by car. There are regular bus services from both cities, as well as an excellent train service from Lisbon to the Algarve.

Airport transfers can be arranged by us at a total one-way price of €50 for 1 - 4 guests, €60 for 5 - 6 guests and €75 for 7 - 8 guests.

Great place in Algarve for family and friends

I went there with friends in May and spent two wonderful weeks. The weather is great (especially If you come from Switzerland like me) and the swimming pool is astonishing. The beach is very close and amazing as well.
There is plenty of space in the apartment (we were 4 adults) and we loved having breakfast and diner staring at the ocean and the Alentejo mountains from the balcony. We were delighted to discover this traditional fisherman’s village and enjoyed the Algarvian nightlife
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

This is the second year we book this flat and have loved it. The apartment is missing nothing, it's clean and fitted with everything one needs.

We have comfortably stayed 3 adults and 2 children and the swimming pool and sorrounding grounds are amazing.
Recommended for:  Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
