2 bedroom apartment to sleep up to 5 in central Berlin, by Ku'damm

This lovely newly refurbished 2 bedroom apartment is on the raised ground floor of a 1930s block in the very heart of Berlin, close to the famous Ku'damm. The apartment has two bedrooms, one with twin beds arranged together as a double bed and another bedroom with twin beds arranged apart. There is also a fifth (sofa) bed in the living room. The living room is a good size and has two sofas and a large flat screen TV and DVD player for guests. There is also a table which, for larger parties, can be used as a dining table and, for working visitors, as a desk. There is a stylish new granite-and-tile bathroom with glass shower cubicle and a smart glossy white kitchen, with full size oven and hob. The new kitchen also has a small dining area, with view of the garden. Garden views are also enjoyed from the large bedroom. The flat manages to be both smart and stylish and also warm, cozy and comfortable. Best of all, it is only minutes away from the Ku'damm and Metro Station Adenauer Platz.

Comfortable Apartment - Well located

Our family of four spent 4 nights in this apartment. Photos are accurate, the apartment is very comfortable and the location to the metro is excellent. The kitchen although small is well stocked, but note there is no microwave. Dealings with Simon were excellent and his housekeeper in Berlin was pleasant and helpful.

Fantastic Apartment !!!!!!!!

We have just returned from a 5 night stay and can only highly recommend this apartment.( family with 2 teenagers)
The organisation and booking was flawless. The property is in a safe neighbourhood, very well located. We could walk 10 mins to the ku dam, the u bahn is 2 mins away and from there the city is easily accessible.
We had great days out at the DDR museum, TV tower , Berlin Wall , Tranenpalast museum and a great afternoon watching Hertha Berlin at the Olympic Stadium.
We loved the apartment, great kitchen, hot showers and very comfortable beds.
A Lidl is 2 min walk away, great for fresh bread in the mornings.
We can't wait to return.

Clean, close to Ubahn station

Very clean and 3 minute walk to Ubahn stop. About 15 minute train ride to center of Berlin and 5 minute walk to Ku'Damm with lots of restaurants and shopping. Good Italian place for dinner next to grocery store just at the end of the block. We also ate at the Indian place that is across the street and was decent. Easy bus ride from the airport. Simon was easy to work with and responsive. Local manager speaks only a bit of English, but we figured everything out.

Great location, apartment & host!

The apartment is in the upmarket Wilmersdorf area of west Berlin and has superb connections to the rest of the city. Wilmersdorf has the advantages of being quiet, safe and almost graffiti-less! The Kurfürstendamm (Ku’Damm) boulevard is very close with excellent wining and dining along its length.

The apartment is on the raised ground floor of an apartment building with the lounge and bedroom 2 on the west side of Brandenburgische Straße and bedroom 1, the bathroom and the kitchen overlooking a large courtyard area. The rooms have external metal shutters operated from inside which don’t allow a slither of light in. Double glazing is excellent and I found no noticeable noise coming in from outside.

The weather in Berlin was -10c whilst I was there but the apartment was warm and snug. The shower was hot and powerful. In the bathroom is a washing machine. Like the rest of the apartment high quality fixtures, fittings and materials are evident.
The kitchen has a four person kitchen table. The oven is full sized and there are four electric hot plates. The cupboards are full of crockery and kitchenware and one has many essentials like salt, pepper and oil.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed with two pine wardrobes, a pine dresser plus two bedside tables. Floors are parquet with rugs.

The living room is ‘open plan’ as it merges with the hallway, it includes two sofas, a writing/dining table with chair and an LCD TV. The Wi-Fi is fast, I used it for HD streaming movies. The TV provides English speaking news channels.

For the important food shopping, I recommend using the Lidl to the west of the apartment, about 2 minutes walk away. This was cheaper and had as good quality food as the Kaiser supermarkets found near Savignyplatz. Plus you only had to schlepp the shopping bags back over a couple of hundred metres instead of a mile or more.

The best way to get into the three city centres (West Berlin, Mitte and East Berlin) is to walk south for 1 min to Konstanzer Straße u-bahn station, take the train three stops north on line U7 to Bismarckstraße station, change onto U2 and head east.

I had the misfortune of leaving behind a very important memory stick in the apartment and the owner Simon arranged to send this back to me by airmail and twice refused to accept payment from me. I found this a generous and touching gesture and goes to show what a decent chap he is!

This is a fantastic apartment in an excellent location with a great host!

Perfekte und sehr saubere Wohnung für alle, die einen zentralen Ausgangspunkt suchen, um Berlin zu erkunden. Nur 2 Minuten zur U-Bahn und zum Supermarkt sowie ca. 5 min zum Adenauerplatz direkt am Ku'damm. Sowohl die gesamte Abwicklung der Buchung per E-Mail als auch die Schlüsselübergabe funktionierten reibungslos. Wir werden das Apartment auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen beim nächsten Berlin Besuch gerne wieder darauf zurück.

Wilmersdorf is possibly central Berlin's finest neighbourhood. Until the wall came down in November 1989, the thriving metropolis of West Berlin centered around Wilmersdorf's famous Kurfürstendamm (or 'Ku Damm' as it is known locally). Walk up this broad up-market avenue and you will see all the famous shops, cultivating at Tauentzienstrasse, where you will find KDW, Germany's answer to Harrods. Even in a united Berlin, the best parts of the old West Berlin, such as central Wilmerdorf (where the apartment is located), still enjoy some of the greatest concentrations of shops, restaurants, hotels and transport connections. Walk up Ku' dam to the wonderful Berlin Zoo, site of the famous Gedächtniskirche, stopping for shopping, or to eat at one of the hundreds of local restaurants, offering high quality cuisine of every nationality! If you don't fancy walking, the nearest Metro station is just one minute from your front door. Also nearby is the large and picturesque Volkspark Wilmersdorf.

Dear guest: my wife and i are a family with 2 kids, who live in hastings in england. I am half german and i bought the apartment because i wanted my children to be able to visit germany regularly in the hope that something of the german language and culture will rub off on them. We have decided to offer the apartment for other families and small parties, who also wish to enjoy the culture capital of berlin. There are few reviews as yet, as the apartment is brand new to the market. The apartment was totally renovated in jan/feb 2011.
