My husband and I stayed here with our 13 month old toddler mid-September. We found the beach was about a 10 minute walk away. The complex was lovely and quiet and there's a couple of small supermarkets, a pharmacy, a great bakery and a couple of car hire places close by.
The apartment itself is clean and nice looking with good quality furnishings. We organised a babycot through the owner which was great. Couple of things to note for people travelling with kids/babies - babies not toilet trained are not allowed in the pool even with swimming nappies on (we were told this in advance so it wasn't such a problem for us) and there are quite a few stairs - externally, the apartment is up a flight of about 20 stairs, so something to consider if you have a toddler with prams etc and internally, the bedroom at loft level has a set of stairs that are very precarious for under 5's as they don't have a suitable balustrade (you can just make it out on the kitchen-area photo).
Otherwise, the Ornos beach is perfect for kids. There are several family friendly tavernas and places to eat.
The one thing that would've made our stay excellent would have been if there was an information pack when we arrived - we picked up our own map from the airport, we found Ornos beach ourselves and some info on using the home theatre system would've been useful (but once working it was great)
The owner was very responsive in all my dealings with her and all her instructions re. arrival, return of security deposit, departure etc happened as she described. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends and family.
