Superior 2 bedroom cottage with private garden and access to swimming pool!

Silver Birch luxury detached self catering cottage is situated on the beautiful island of Jersey in the British Channel Islands. This unique and superior holiday home is built in the grounds of our existing properties but is fully detached with its own allocated parking and private garden and terrace. From 2014 there is access to a shared outdoor swimming pool from June to the beginning of September. There is also provided a barbecue and hammock for extra comfort. All the fixtures and fittings are sourced from top standard suppliers. Wheelchair access is easy as we have a ramp and one small step in to the accommodation. The property is close to the coastal walking network. Bonne Nuit Bay and Bouley Bay are the closest beaches & 5 minutes drive to Durrell Wildlife Preservation Trust.

A unique experience!: The Channel Islands are a truly beautiful place. Jersey is the largest of the islands and I believe has the most to offer. The whole island is just 9 miles by 5 so nowhere is far. Good restaurants and bars abound both in the main town of St Helier and out here in the Jersey countryside. We have an excellent country bar which serves great bar food just a short drive away. There are ample cliff path walks along the dramatic north coast and a choice of tranquil beaches too. If you want the business of St Helier then its just 15 minutes by car to the bright lights. If you people watch, then there is a host of sandy beaches on the island to choose from. There is lots to see and do! We particularly recommend a visit to 'Durrell' home of the Jersey Wildlife Preservation trust but we can tell you more about that when you stay with us.

Holiday rentals are such a great way to get to know a destination and with so much great food available both in the supermarkets and the local fish and vegetable markets you can make the most of everything on offer. This is not a run-of-the-mill, middle range property; we truly believe we have created something special. No expense has been spared. All fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard and include Villeroy and Boch bathroom ware, Travertine tiles, granite work tops and solid oak floors and finishes. In the garden there is a hammock as well as dining table, chairs and umbrella.

All are welcome!: We wanted our special holiday home to be welcome to as wide an audience as possible. However, we did decide not to permit smoking inside the property as we believe a majority of guests would prefer this. The cottage is entirely ground floor therefore convenient for the mobility impaired. We even have a ramp so its easier to get a wheelchair to the front doors and grab rails in the house shower room to make it easier for the elderly or mobility impaired. Les Platons is the area surrounding this property and there is a choice of pretty beaches, bays and fishing harbours within a short drive. Durrell (Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust) is just a couple of miles away. Jersey being just 9 miles x 5 miles is an ideal holiday location with a huge diversity of activities. Jersey's unique heritage is well represented in a number of award winning museums including the main Jersey Museum in St Helier and Hamptonne, which has been featured in UK drama series as well as Hollywood productions. Great restaurants and bars abound with everything from country pubs to sophisticated cocktail bars and Michelin star restaurants. Jersey's sunny beaches are some of the cleanest in Europe and many have the blue flag cleanliness award. A fabulous holiday destination whether you want a lazy chill-out holiday or an adrenaline fueled frenzy.

The swimming pool is being added for the 2014 summer season and is available from the beginning of June to the end of September. The pool measures approximately 5 metres x 10 metres and has additional outdoor furniture. The pool is shared with the owners and 2 apartments.
