2 bedroom apartment, sleeps 4, terrace, private garden, close to the beach

The accommodation, which sleeps 3 to 4, offers a dining room, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, one main bedroom with a double bed and a single bed in an interconnecting room. The main bedroom is in the old wine cave and is accessed either through a trap door down a wooden ladder or from a door in the garden.

It has two large windows and a door both opening out into the garden. There is another tiny single bedroom upstairs. The balcony with alfresco dining area has stunning views of the bay of Villefranche and Cap Ferrat. The Studio stands in a shady and tranquil garden with oleander, bougainvillea, wisteria and a grapefruit tree. The apartment is situated at the end of a private road in the artists' quarter of Villefranche above the Chantier de la Darse and the local beach.

Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the most historic and beautiful bays on the French Riviera. Located four miles east of Nice and 6 miles south west of Monaco, Villefranche-Sur-Mer offers the perfect location from which to explore one of the world’s most stunning coastlines. Eze, Beaulieu, Menton, Monaco and Cannes (to name but a few) are all within easy reach by bus or from the town’s railway station. Nice itself, with its wealth of great museums and attractions, is just a 10 min bus ride away.

Villefranche-sur-Mer still has a fully working harbor, La Darse, which is surrounded by lovely local restaurants and cafes. The old town of Villefranche dates from the 13th century and is truly stunning. Narrow streets snake up the hillside from the sea and the waterfront plays host to world class restaurants.

Just to say a huge thank you for letting us use your delightful property for these last ten days.....we both agree it is the most charming place we have stayed, ( despite extraordinarily hot weather!) Unlike some rentals, where things feel a little impersonal and they don't seem to belong to anyone, yours is a much loved family home and I cannot express how thrilled we and our daughters were with everything about it!
We fully intend booking it again, hopefully many times!

A lovely place to stay

This property is lovely. Great for anyone who loves cosy shabby chic and getting away from it all. The area is very quiet.

We stayed with our 4 year old daughter and she loved the place, especially the freestanding bath downstairs and the tiny holiday bedroom.

Views from the balcony across the harbour were beautiful and a wonderful way to pass the evening.

We loved having the beach so close by. It was pebbly, but not very busy and the sea was clear. The village is an easy walkable distance too.

The keyholder was very helpful & made us welcome.

I wouldn't recommend this apartment for anyone with mobility issues because of the step steps up from the garden to the entrance and the layout inside. It was fine for children who are old enough to take care on the stairs, but maybe not so good for curious toddlers!

Would definitely recommend. Great value for money.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
