  • The bedroom is a large room with high ceilings and old beams restored. It is equipped with air conditioning and safe. The cabinet, designed by the Iranian yield Ansari, is very large and can contain all that is necessary. The mattress is covered with an anti-mite mattress cover for people with allergies. The view is green on the terrace for the exclusive use of the apartment and the bathroom is reached from a dressing room that separates the living from the sleeping area.

A little gem - delightful in every way

We stayed for 6 nights here at this lovely apartment right in the historic centre of beautiful Florence. We chose it because of its location, its amenities and the fact there is a handy lift to the first floor and a wonderful little terrace - which is quite rare in the centre. It is charming and decorated in the traditional Italian style yet has a modern bathroom, air conditioning, washing machine and hair dryer. The kitchen is very well equipped with appliances that work and we enjoyed a couple of evenings cooking - the basics are there - like oil, vinegar, spices and salts which really helps. The bed is huge and very comfortable - as is the sofabed. It has a magnificent wardrobe to store everyone's clothes and lots of other books, guides, magazines and maps. Alessandro is a wonderful person who will give you as much information as you want about Florence and some of his recommendations which we took up and enjoyed included visits to the Teatra da Sal; the rooftop coffee shop at Le Rinascente department store and the ice cream parlour. We also recommend Cucciolo's in the Corso for breakfast - the best coffee and pastries and the best price; also over the river the Napoleone Restaurant. Cultural attractions for us this time included the Museo di Palazzo Davanzati at Porta Rossa - a must if you like old houses; and the Renaissance exhibition of sculpture and artworks from around the world in the Palazzo di Strozzi. The church at San Miniato is always worth the walk with the stunning views from the Piazza Michaelangelo.Having my bag stolen did not stop us from enjoying our stay and then it was found in a bar and Alessandro kindly returned it. We would always come back here as a first choice again for comfort, location and kindness. Note though there are mosquitoes about so take room plugs with you.

Charming Apartment - Great for Families

My husband and 1-year old daughter couldn't have been happier with this lovely apartment. Alessandro was a wonderful host and the apartment was charming, spacious, modern and contained every creature comfort that we needed.

For us it was key to have a working elevator, because we used a stroller everyday. The elevator was always in working order and made life a lot easier. The bedroom was spacious and contained a ton of closet space and an incredibly comfortable king bed. There was still plenty of space to set up our travel crib.

The bathroom was clean and modern and it contained a proper bathtub. The shower in the bathtub was great and good water pressure.

The terrace was large and beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't utilize it because it was January. The kitchen was very nice and stocked with everyday necessities, olive oil, pasta, etc. Alessandro also provided us with cute baby eating dishes and a high chair.

We did use the washing machine once and had no problems operating it, despite our lack of Italian:)

There's a full grocery store just down the street, which you really need when you have little ones.

The location of the apartment was phenomenal! We were located just off the Duomo and a 5 min. walk to Piazza della Republica. The bells of the church do ring in the morning, but between chasing a toddler and jet lag, we slept right through them.

I highly recommend this apartment for singles, couples and small families.

Alessandro was a fantastic host and we would definitely rent this property on our next visit for Florence.

Perfekt leilighet i Firenze

Etter beskrivelsen av La Terrazzo al Duomo på nettsiden, regnet vi med at leiligheten ville være perfekt for oss, to voksne. Alt svarte til forventningene. Beliggenheten kan umulig være bedre, med noen få skritts avstand til Duomoen og gangavstand til alle de andre flotte severdighetene som finnes i Firenze.
Leiligheten ligger i en bilfri gate og er romslig, delikat og velutstyrt på alle måter.
Den var ren og pen, rikelig med sengetøy og håndklær. Godt utstyrt kjøkken for dem som ønsker å lage maten selv. Ingenting manglet. Den romslige terrassen ville vi hatt stor glede av på en annen årstid.
Den svært hyggelige verten Alessandro ga oss nyttige tips om severdigheter og spisesteder og hadde også sørget for frisk frukt og mat og drikke i kjøleskapet. Vi kom med bil fra Norge og Alessandro hadde skaffet oss garasjeplass like i nærheten.
Vi hadde tidligere vært i Firenze på sommeren og opplevd lange køer til severdighetene. Å tilbringe to uker i byen fra 18. november til 2. desember var fabelaktig. Denne gangen var det ingen køer. Når vi i tillegg var heldige med været, og fikk med oss starten på julemåneden, ble oppholdet svært vellykket.
Vi vil uten forbehold anbefale leiligheten til slekt og venner. Skal vi til Firenze igjen, vil vi definitivt bo hos Alessandro.

Great apartment in the heart of Florence!

My girlfriends and I had an amazing time in Florence. We stayed at Alessandro's apartment for 10 days and we couldn't have picked a better place. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the Duomo. Alessandro met us at the apartment when we first arrived and gave us wonderful recommendations of restaurants and places to see. The apartment is very nice and clean, the water pressure in the shower was just right and the kitchen had everything we needed. Alessandro also went above and beyond helping us schedule a cab for our departure since we had to leave very early in the morning and they needed a phone number, which we didn't have. I definitely recommend his apartment to anyone going to visit Florence and I hope to be back someday!

Wonderful apartment in historic center of Florence

I would highly recommend staying at La Terrazzo al Duomo. The apartment is perfectly located on side street that leads to the Duomo -- and although near a crowded and noisy square, it is very quiet and private. The apartment easily sleeps three people and is beautifully furnished, feels like a comfortable home with a great terrace. Allesandro, the owner, is extremely attentive and helpful -- offering suggestions as to restaurants, patiently answering all of our questions and even assisted us with calling taxis upon our departure. Almost everything is within walking distance; Piazza della Repubblica (go to the top floor terrace of the corner department store in the evening for outragous views of the Duomo) and the Piazza della Signoria. Special highlights were visiting the Piazzala Michelangelo and the San Miniato church (Gregorian Chanting at 7:30 pm), Santo Spirito square in the Oltrano (markets on most Sundays and the pefect restaurant for Sunday lunch, the Osteria Santa Spirito). Don't miss Santa Maria Novella, possibly the most interesting square and most beautiful church in Florence, and of course, the Mercato Centrale (buy fresh pasta to cook). Favorite nearby restaurants were Coquinarius on Via Delle Oche 15 will need reservations by stopping by) and another on Via della Studio just before Via de Corso. No question that I have fallen in love with Florence and Allesandro's beautiful apartment.

I recommend her without dubt and hope to see her again.
