Sunny flat 1 min zone 2 tube with free WiFi, phone, parking and garden

This one bedroom flat is on the ground floor of a modern secure block in a quiet cul-de-sac very close to Brockley's swish new tube line (called the East London line or Overground - as it goes overground when it gets further out of London).

The bedroom is absolutely tiny with just enough room for a large bed and fitted wardrobe but the living room is bright and light with a lovely south-facing aspect over the communal gardens. There is a nice kitchen with granite worktop, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and all the usual utensils. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment so can work as both.

The flat has a TV, free WiFi and free calls to landlines in the UK and EU and USA landlines and mobiles! There is designated parking outside the flat too although you really don't need a car with the tube so close. Free parking this close to a zone two tube and the lovely garden make this a very unusual London holiday let.

I bought this flat a few years ago for friends of tenants who were coming over to study. When their studies finished and they moved on I added this flat to our holiday let portfolio because we needed a budget option. However, we maintain the same stringent standards for this, our budget option, as for our four-figure-a-week apartments.

Brockley was something of a secret in London until the new tube line came in just a few months ago. It is within walking distance of historic Greenwich and leafy Blackheath one way and the extremely urban New Cross the other and only 10 minutes by train to London Bridge.

There is a rapidly-gentrifying 'High St' area with a charming coffee shop just the other side of the station and lots of shops and restaurants further along the road. Hilly Fields and Brockley cemetery are both within a stroll for lovely greenery. It's like being in the country but only zone 2.

Notes

  • Please note that the prices are subject to a minimum occupancy for at least three nights unless it is a last-minute booking within seven days of the stay in which case we accept solo travelers. For each additional guest over two and up to four (our maximum occupancy) we charge £10 extra per person per night or £50 extra per week. For two guests using both the bed and the sofabed we charge £25 (which is the linen laundering fee charged to us).

    Weekend nights are deemed to be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. All other nights are considered midweek.

    Our quoted rate includes everything. Taxes, WiFi, linen and towels, parking, gas, electricity, water, phone calls and end-of-stay cleaning. Unlike some other holiday lets we do not charge for washing powder or loo roll! We want you to feel welcome. We lend each adult guest an Oyster travel card (which you can upload with money to give you the cheapest tube, DLR, bus, tram and train fares) to save you the £5 purchase cost.
  • Check-in is 4pm (16:00) and check-out by 10am (10.00).

  • The bedroom is very very small! It is quiet with a window and a comfortable king-sized bed and a fitted wardrobe and chair and that's it. The sofabed in the living room converts to a double bed but it is a standard not a king size like the bedroom.

Our London Introduction

This London-Lets flat was our base for our first week in London and it and the Manager Elizabeth didn't disappoint. Elizabeth is a renters dream who is always at the other end of the email line to help and guide you. The flat is small yes but for 2 people it is great and so was the price. Anna the housekeeper has a high standard and that is reflected in the cleanliness of the flat. The little touches like guide books, oyster cards, umbrella's, fresh milk in the fridge make this company a stand out. Transport was close and efficient and the short stroll to a supermarket and shops and even a very good nail salon was fantastic. We will definitely recommend this company to family and friends. Many thanks once again from Kirsten and myself.

Wonderful Stay

My wife and I stayed at the Brockley Flat for eight days and our experience could not have been better. The flat was perfect for our trip because it was a two minute walk to the overground rail service and the kitchen and washer/dryer proved to be useful. If you are looking to visit London on a budget and you are planning to do a lot of sight-seeing and just need a place to sleep, I highly recommend this flat.

Elizabeth was also a pleasure to deal with during our stay. She did a wonderful job helping organize our stay and making everything go as smoothly as possible. I would definitely stay here again!

My home away from home

This is a small, clean and well maintained flat which would be ideal for a couple or a single. The kitchen is a proper kitchen and includes a good sized fridge, a stove, microwave, plenty of cupboard space and also has a washing machine/dryer (a bonus in wet weather).
This flat is close to public transport and is only 2 mins walk for a small but well stocked NISA supermarket (there is a big Sainsbury store only one train stop away).
The local pub is good value for money if eating out and the local Indian restaurant is great for take-away or to eat in.
Free wireless internet plus free cals back home (to Australia) were a lovely bonus.

I had booked this flat for family visiting from Australia, it was there first overseas holiday and found the flat offered all they needed, it was clean, warm & cosy and a nice retreat from the cold of March.
Elizabeth & Ottilie were both so friendly and helpful with my many questions leading up to the stay, thank you for being so accommodating to our needs.

Brockley Flat

The Brockley flat provides a good base for staying in London at a reasonable price. The flat is well maintained and it is clean. The kitchen is a good size and there are shops nearby. The location close to the overground is quite convenient. During our stay, there were closures of the overground due to getting ready for the Olympics, but that should be temporary. Overall, a good choice.
