Newly renovated 2nd floor 1 bed apartment

This 2nd floor 1 bedroom apartment is situated in a fabulous position overlooking Rue de la Republique, the main pedestrian street of the Old Town. In the evenings enjoy a pre dinner wine with local nibbles while watching the world go by from the balcony, it's better than TV! And try to resist the goodies from the 'Boulangerie' directly opposite for breakfast. It's a minute walk to 2 local supermarkets and a couple of minutes to the Provencal Market.

On entry to the apartment you come to the spacious living area with access to the balcony with table & chairs, free internet, Flatscreen TV,Cable, & DVD, with DVD's . To the left the bedroom with en-suite bathroom. To the right fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher. portable air-con. unit in the bedroom. Tastefully decorated & has lovely beamed ceilings. Antibes is known for its yacht marina, the largest in Europe, with its International Quay, which is home to some of the biggest ’Megayachts’ in the World, its Provencal market, Picasso museum and medieval Ramparts. It has its own sheltered, sandy beach, and is within walking distance to several others. The Provencal fresh produce market runs every day in the summer and is not to be missed. In the evenings it turns into an outdoor restaurant scene, sharing the space with local artists’ stalls. Just behind the market is Antibes’s Cathedral, the setting for outdoor concerts in the summer months. The Old Town is full of lovely cobbled shopping streets, pavement cafes and countless restaurants to choose from. Thursdays is market day in the Old Town with thousands of stalls spread all over, selling anything from bikinis to carpets. On Saturdays, Place National is the setting for an Antiques market. Nearby Juan-les-Pins is a major holiday destination, with a casino & private beaches.

Golf: There are many fabulous golf courses in the area, all within a 30/40min drive of Antibes, including the Royal Mougins which is one of the best in France.

Ski: There are several ski fields within a short drive from Antibes, Auron and Isola 2000 being the most popular, and at only 90min drive away they are popular for a day trip.

  • A non refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Payment to be made by bank transfer in euros, note that this could incur a charge, to be met by sender, or with a debit/credit card using PayPal, (adding 3.5% towards Paypal charges). There is a 50 euro cleaning/laundry fee payable in cash on departure .Towels and linens are provided including beach towels. On arrival you will be met at the apartment, and given a set of keys. The security and key deposit of 200 euros (or equivalent in pounds) will be collected in cash at this time, to be returned on departure less the 50 euros for cleaning.
    Please note that check ins after 10pm. can not be facilitated.

This apartment is terrific, it lives up to the description & was spotlessly clean & the location is excellent, great rerstaurants just a few steps away from the front door & the beach an easy walk away, no need for a car here.
Michelle was really helpful & made us feel very welcome.
We've had many holidays in & around Antibes but this rates as the best apartment we have found, we felt so comfortable there we didn't want to come home.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

A Perfect Place in Antibes

My husband and I stayed in the Pimms apartment for three weeks. It was a perfectly wonderful property in a perfectly fabulous location on the pedestrian only street of rue de la Republique. Everything could wish for is directly outside your front door -amazing patisseries, restaurants, cafes, several grocery stores and shoe shops! No need for a car as the buses are a two minute walk and the train station but a 10 minute walk. You can access the entire Cote d'Azur via bus or rail.
The terrace was ideal for having a glass of wine or dining al fresco. Sit outside and watch the world go by.
The apartment was spotless, quiet and beautifully maintained. Michelle was a delight to deal with and is genuinely invested in her guests' happiness.
We would highly recommend renting Pimms or any other of Michelle's properties.

It's a very good point to make about the excellent public transport links along the coast, even more important in the peak summer months of July and August when a hire car can be a real pain with the conjestion and lack of parking.

We are back home a number of weeks now but we are still reminiscing about our wonderful two weeks in Antibes. We can honestly say that the apartment simply made the holiday! It had everything we needed and because the weather was a little disappointing we utilised the apartment even more than we had planned. It is in a super location, close to all amenities and we certainly enjoyed watching the world go by from the well appointed balcony. Perfect spot!

I just arrived back from a week in Antibes with my husband and our 6 month old daughter. The apartment was a perfect spot for spending time in Antibes and also taking day trips to other towns on the coast. It was super clean and well equipped (kitchen supplies, washing machine etc...) Michelle was very accommodating and supplied a travel cot and highchair for the little one which was very helpful. Just to note however - the apartment is on the 2nd floor without a lift - but we were able to leave our buggie downstairs in the hallway with no trouble. I definitely recommend it for a couple or small family like us. Probably a bit too small for 2 couples to share - but I suppose that depends on how much time you spend in the flat.

I have a couple of travel cots and if booked in advance you should be sure to have one during your stay free of charge.

An excellent spot in old Antibes

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay in the Pimm's flat during the last two weeks of September. The balcony overlooking a pedestrian street was a great perspective for people-watching and relaxing. The flat was well furnished and comfortable, and the owner provided excellent guidance to its facilities and local attractions. Two patisseries within a few steps and an *excellent* charcuterie just down the street were a real plus, as was the full supermarket two short blocks away. For those with a car (as I had, to travel to a work assignment), the underground parking garage 200m. away, with weekly ticket available, solved all parking problems.

The location, close to the restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and little shops of the old city, was excellent, as within 5 minutes we could walk to the seafront promenade, the Picasso museum, the beach, and readily take longer strolls (or jogs) out on the Cap d'Antibes. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to make better meals, using fresh produce, pasta and meats from the local shops, than we could have found in many restaurants! Being able to wash clothes in the flat was also very helpful at a warm time of year.

We would certainly recommend the property to any of our friends. The only negative feature was the very bright street lamp outside the bedroom window: room-darkening shades would be a nice addition. But overall we'd give the flat 5 stars.
