Guestbook comments from the owner
I would like to say a big thank you for a wonderful holiday. You must be so proud of your villa. I would also like to apologise, but I realised on our return to the airport that we didn't complete your comments book for guests. If I had remembered I would have put in about the lovely meal that you put on for Phil's birthday. The food and service you gave us was excellent, very good value for money considering the amount of food and dishes that you had done.
I know some people may be put off about being in a remote area, but I think this is a bonus and it is still only 5 minutes from Ostuni and Ceglie. The peace, quiet and tranquility of your villa is 5*, as is the hospitality and furnishings. We have stayed in many villas and your villa is ranking top in Europe. I have told many people about it on my return. We have discussed it and we will return, maybe not next year but definitely the year after. We have a lot more to see and do in the area and take advantage of your villa. Again a big thank you for your hospitality and privilege of renting your villa. 5*

We are retired business people from the Lake District in England who like the good things in life. We found Puglia offered a relaxed lifestyle with excellent fresh, local produce and wine (Rick Stein thinks so too!). Finding Villa Maria just completed the picture and we fell in love straight away. We want our guests to feel the same way we do when they come here and welcome them personally. We are available to offer any advice or assistance necessary.
We are very proud of Villa Maria. It was built with much thought and love and is very comfortable and welcoming with a huge, well established garden and large swimming pool. It is very spacious but also welcoming and extremely well equipped, especially for foodies! It is set amongst ancient olive and almond groves way into the horizon which you can admire whilst relaxing on the private veranda enjoying the local wines.
Whilst the villa is set amongst olive groves it is only 5 minutes from the famous Ostuni (Citta Bianca) and Ceglie Messapica (older then Rome). The local towns are all within easy driving distances, as are the Adriatic and Ionian coastline (10 & 20 mins respectively) The airports of Brindisi and Bari are both easily accessible (25mins & 1 hr away). There also golf courses within driving distance too.
