Very enjoyable stay at Barn Owl Cottage

paulr York, UK
Review Submitted: May 8, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
I just returned from a break at Barn Owl Cottage with my wife and I must stay that we enjoyed it emensley.
The cottage is set in the grounds of Oakdale Farmhouse and it contains everything that one might need for a self catering break.
It was ideal for us as we did not want to rent a house as that can be pricey and the cottage with its 1 bedroom en suite and fully fitted kitchen(with washing machine and tumble dryer) and even free WI-Fi Internet access, what more could you ask for!
We used it as a base for touring all over the county and even ventured as far as the Giants Causeway in Co.Antrim.
All in all I would recommend Barn Owl Cottage for independent and budget conscious travelers who need a comfortable base for sight seeing.
Owner's Response: I'm delighted to get this review for my self catering Cottage in Donegal ,from that nice couple from England. They said they loved the cottage and it was ideal for walking, and touring.
It was nice of them to take the trouble to send in a Review

A lovely place to stay

noon London, England
Review Submitted: August 26, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We spent a wonderful week in Donegal staying at this lovely cottage. The cottage is well-equipped and very comfortable. Having Wifi is very useful, and we did make good use of the washer-dryer- it was quite a rainy week. Despite the rain (and at times because of it!) Donegal was a fantastic place to explore. Teresa and Paddy are lovely people, and will make you feel very welcome. It was also very reasonably priced!

Perfect

Review Submitted: November 16, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We spent a week here and it was just wonderful! Quiet yet close to the pubs and restaurants in Glenties. The accomadations were clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Teresa was also very accomodating and available when needed. I would highly reccommend to anyone interested in some time in Donegal and wanting the option of touring around the County yet also wanting the option of some quiet time. Looking forward to returning.
