As you can see, the apartment has a plush, modern Mediterranean style. The open floor plan, private hot tub, and partial ocean-view terraces create an airy, relaxed feel that’s perfect for kicking back after exploring La Cala de Mijas and the rest of the Costa del Sol. When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find 28,000 square meters of tropical gardens and two expansive saltwater pools in the complex. It’s quite possible to spend the entire day with the pool or the gardens to yourself.

'Coral Reef' Holiday Rental Apartment is stocked with many amenities that other apartments lack. Why Sophie Idh chose La Cala de Mijas

When we were looking for a home to purchase in Costa del Sol, we searched all the cities, up and down the coast. When we found La Cala de Mijas it was no longer a question of what town to buy in, but what apartment complex to call our home. We quickly found Oasis Cala de Mijas, which is a high quality, low quantity complex, built with care and consideration. Only 30% of the property is built upon, leaving 28,000 square meters of well kept sub-tropical gardens, including 2 saltwater pools.

Our two apartments are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor, both accessible via an elevator. The entire complex is handicap accessible, and ideal for families traveling with children. You do not need a car while staying here, as you can walk from the apartment to just about everything, including the beach, bars, golf, restaurants, retails stores and more.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the architecture in our complex, with traditional Spanish style, combined with a modern look. Italian marble is all around, and the layout flows seamlessly from one room to another. We have included all the features that you would expect to find in your neighbor's home, so it is not just another holiday rental. Some of these features include:

There are so many facilities in the local area that you will never run out of things to do, with or without a car. La Cala de Mijas still has that small town charm and feel, yet the sophistication and amenities of a modern city. Every Wednesday and Saturday you can walk to the local market, where you can purchase anything from fresh produce, to clothing, jewelry, and everything in between. There are Irish Bars, English Bars and Spanish Bars, all within a few blocks of each other. You will find restaurants and retail stores up and down the narrow, cobble stone streets. A 10 minute walk will take you to an amazing beach, with miles of the Costa del Sol’s finest sand. A pirate ship playground is located along the beach walk promenade, and it is a big hit with the kids, when they need a break from the ocean. Two modern grocery stores are within easy walking distance of home. Take either public transportation or a car for a 10 minute drive to the enormous local shopping mall, Parque Miramar

Golf: The apartment is situated in the Golf Valley, with 9 excellent courses, including The famous La Cala Golf, Mijas Golf, Mira Flores Golf, La Siesta Golf, La Noria Golf, Santana Golf, Calanova Golf, and El Chapatral Club de Golf.

Notes:	The holiday rental apartment is located on the 2st floor, above the garden apartment, and 1st floor, or what is referred to as the 3nd floor in Northern Europe and the US. The 73 square meter balcony/terrace has a large section enclosed with a glass wall, that can easily be slid to one side, to open the entire area up to the sun. For the winter evenings, the glass can be put in place, and the terrace be fully enjoyed, with Infra Red heaters, if necessary. The private jacuzzi is located on the terrace, out of view from the rest of the units, for a more private experience. This holiday rental apartment is located in a gated community, surrounded by 28,000 square meters of subtropical gardens, with swimming pool areas and lighted walkways for your enchanting evening strolls. While the beach, shops, restaurants and bars are just a short 5 to 10 minute walk away, you will still enjoy a tranquil and quiet apartment, with absolutely no street noise.

Having previously booked the owner's other apartment the Coral Beach we knew we would be happy with the Sandy beach.
We were met by the new manager Sally who was prompt at meeting us at the apartment when we phoned her from the airport. Although we had been before Sally let us know about all the facilities and was excellent at giving us ideas of where to go in the area. If your looking for local info Sally is your girl.
The apartment was really nice, modern and most importantly clean and a complete home from home.
The apartment is well lit and bright giving a sense of open space. The Dining room was beautifully furnished as was the living room with the corner sofa and 2 seater sofa,enough for a big family to enjoy.
The bedrooms were tastefully designed with the most comfy beds I have ever encountered, even in some 5 star hotels.
The apartment has all the mod cons and top of the range white goods including a huge fridge freezer to hold as much beer and wine or salad if that's your thing. The kitchen again has everything you could possibly need including a teabag sqeezer, now that's service for you.
The sun room was excellent and our favourite area to hang out after a invigorating walk on the local beach just 10 minutes walk away.
Sit, relax and take in the sun going down in the distance with your gin & Tonic or glass of the local wine. Better still enjoy the view from your own private hot tub.
We didn't have a chance to check out the pool area on our last visit as it was hidden in the tropical gardens. We wandered up the spiral pathway and were met by a sparkling clean beautiful large pool with little shaded break out umbrella areas. There were also plenty of sunbeds for everyone to use. The area also has clean toilets in the grounds. In the summer this would be ideal for families with children who perhaps do not want to walk to the local beach.
There is plenty to do in the local area from the clean sandy beach to the local town of cala de mijas with a array of excellent shops and restaurants to choose from. There was also a new Lidl 5 minutes from the apartment for those last minute daily essentials.
We highly recommend the Chinese restaurant Cantonese 2 which we visit on most visit's. For great food and drink and a superb price this cannot be beat. The owner is lovely and really courteous with the free liquer at the end of your meal and a bracelet for the ladies.
The weather was mixed from a pleasant 17c to 22c. Not that we were cold after

Having previously booked the owner's other apartment the Coral Beach we knew we would be happy with the Sandy beach.
We were met by the new manager Sally who was prompt at meeting us at the apartment when we phoned her from the airport. Although we had been before Sally let us know about all the facilities and was excellent at giving us ideas of where to go in the area. If your looking for local info Sally is your girl.
The apartment was really nice, modern and most importantly clean and a complete home from home.
The apartment is well lit and bright giving a sense of open space. The Dining room was beautifully furnished as was the living room with the corner sofa and 2 seater sofa,enough for a big family to enjoy.
The bedrooms were tastefully designed with the most comfy beds I have ever encountered, even in some 5 star hotels.
The apartment has all the mod cons and top of the range white goods including a huge fridge freezer to hold as much beer and wine or salad if that's your thing. The kitchen again has everything you could possibly need including a teabag sqeezer, now that's service for you.
The sun room was excellent and our favourite area to hang out after a invigorating walk on the local beach just 10 minutes walk away.
Sit, relax and take in the sun going down in the distance with your gin & Tonic or glass of the local wine. Better still enjoy the view from your own private hot tub.
There is plenty to do in the local area from the clean sandy beach to the local town of cala de mijas with a array of excellent shops and restaurants to choose from. There was also a new Lidl 5 minutes from the apartment for those last minute daily essentials.
We highly recommend the Chinese restaurant Cantonese 2 which we visit on most visit's. For great food and drink and a superb price this cannot be beat. The owner is lovely and really courteous with the free liquer at the end of your meal and a bracelet for the ladies.

Our family with one little baby had a great 8 in Mijas. The flat was fantastic and had it all; seaside view, outdoor Jacuzzi and BBQ, plenty of space, clean and modern. The flat had all the amenities to cater for our baby, making the holiday stay much more enjoyable and relaxing. The Mijas area had lots to offer and we enjoyed many day tips to local gems. We highly recommend staying here!

Recommended for: Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Our family with one baby were very pleased with our 8 night stay. The flat is great and includes all necessary amenities, both for the grown ups and little ones. Seaside view, outdoor Jacuzzi, plenty of space, clean and modern. We highly recommend staying here
