Villa for the Stars

We just returned from a wonderful stay on the island. We were a group of 4, two couples, traveling for one week stay in Sao Miguel. Josie, was so helpful through the whole process, assuring our happiness, and helping with a car rental (saving us at least 100 dollars).
When we arrived at the airport, Laudalina and her son were waiting for us with a sign that had our name on it. She helped us get our car, and then took our luggage. We followed her to the villa. She showed us where everything was, got us settled and told us to call her any time if we needed anything. We were blown away. The villa is impeccably clean, there is everything here that you could ever need. The kitchen is stocked, the bedrooms are stocked, she even has aloe gel in the bathroom! Everything you could possibly need is awaiting your arrival. She wasn't kidding me when she told me that all I would need to bring is Sunscreen and a bathing suit.
We felt like movie stars lounging out back with our wine, on the exclusively private patio. There are benches at the end of the street that over look the ocean and there is a rocky beach behind the villa. You need water shoes to swim here.
The villa is located on the northern part of the island and is somewhat central. We found the location to be very good because we could travel east or west, without a very long return commute either way. There were lots of travel guides, maps and restaurant recommendations for us which came in very handy.
It's very quiet here. The only noises you hear at night are goats, dogs and roosters! It is absolutely beautiful, we already want to come back. Being from Canada we are used to cooler nights, so our only request would be for fans in the bedrooms, as the temperature does not really change from day to night, and the nights were quite warm. Though we also could have been there at an unusually warm time, because it was sunny and hot everyday and there was no rain. There were heaters in the room, so I imagine it gets cooler hear during the winter months.
Josie, thank you so much for everything. We had a wonderful time, and you gave us such peace of mind. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the island.

Your very valuable feedback has allowed us to introduce immediate action. For those few unusually very hot nights, we have now furnished each bedroom with a cooling fan
Also, in your blog you state that in a few of your all day outings, you missed not having food suppliers immediately available on location. Instead, you had to leave the area of choice to search for a restaurant. You note that the locals bring their own picnic baskets. I am now working with local chefs to make available upon request, a variety of economical nutritional picnic food packages that can be ordered ahead of time and delivered to the house.
I am very grateful for this review which I am certain will encourage others to also write reviews. Together we can continue to make progress toward the achievement of our goal, to provide a safe, comfortable and an unforgettable vacation haven for all to enjoy!
