This beautiful house was fully renovated for 2011. It consists of 2 bedrooms, a very large kitchen area with spacious sitting area, and a 4th room, sitting area, with sea view and a fire place.
All rooms of the villa enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the village, the forest and the ocean as well as the largest Greek island, Evoia.
In the villa you will feel like at home. There is plenty of space for parking, playing, a professional children playground (park -style). The house is very quite for relaxing and resting at all times.
History in the area : The Historic Battle of Marathon took place in 490 B.C. According to Herodotus, 100,000 Persians were defeated by 11,000 Greek Soldiers at Marathon. The Greeks were victorious due to the ingenious plan of their general Miltiades.
Within 15 min drive, you will be able to visit historic sites like:
-The ancient city of Ramnus . Ramnus (or Ramnounta) was the largest borough of Ancient Athens city, with over 3000 years of history.
-The ancient Olympic city of Marathon. The city was restate as an Olympic city in Athens Olympic games of 2004.
-The tombs of battle of Marathon.
-The ancient Marathon race which existing since the first olympic games of the world 3000 years ago.
-ACROPOLIS is within 1 hour drive from the villa.
-The new Athenian Museum. The most modern museum of Greece.
What to visit during your stay : What to Visit during your holiday in Villa Konaki: 1) The Island of Evoia is within a 2 hours drive(there is a bridge connecting the island with mainland Greece, or 1 hour drive and 1 hour ferry. In Evoia there are beautiful beaches and nice tavernas and bars to visit. 2) Athens and Acropolis: Within an hour drive the guest can reach the center of the Greek Capital. 3) Nea Makri and marathon in 30 minutes drive: Ancient sites, beach bars, bars and clubs, restaurants, museums, shopping centers, banks, Internet cafes. 4) Greek islands for day trips: within 45 minutes drive the guests can reach the port of Rafina. From Rafina there are ferries to many Greek islands as Mikonos(4 hours), Paros(4 hours), Tinos. Also there are speed ferry boats that can take you to main Greek islands within 2 hours. 5) Corinthos are within 2 hours drive from the Villa. 6)Olympia is a nice visit for day trip. The guests can visit the ancient sites of Ancient Olympia.
