QUIET, COZY HOME BY THE BEACH IN EL MASNOU FOR FAMILY OF 4

The house was as described in Holiday Rentals. It was clean, well maintained and had everything that you need, and more (except for an electric kettle). Roaul and his wife both came to see us to make sure everything was ok and answered all the questions we had and gave us information about the area. It is an ideal place to be based if you want to see Barcelona. The train takes 30 minutes to get there and the cost is 3.40 euros for a return ticket. El Masnou has a good beach and some good restaurants although some seemed to have closed for the winter when we were there in late September. We would highly recommend this property.

The property was extremely homely, clean (bedlinen and towels were of a good standard) and comfortable with all modern appliances in the kitchen and also TV/DVD player and internet access.
The owners were very welcoming, giving additional support when we needed to book transport to attend an event. They had also provided literature re the local area and options for restaurants and sightseeing. The property was well situated for access to Barcelona, but with the local charm of a town not geared towards tourists - be prepared to learn enough Spanish to translate the menu, this area has not been spoilt by tourism. The restaurants along the harbour we found to be the best quality, with the added bonus of the sea view and terrace dining on the waterfront. If the weather in April had been better we would have spent more time on the extensive beaches stretching along the coastline. I would recommend this property to anyone - it was much nicer to stay in a real Spanish home as opposed to holiday appartment. This was a much better choice for us and we would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to the owners.
