Quiet location, only 4 minutes stroll to bars, shops, restaurants and the beach

This second floor apartment has a large open plan living area with modern fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge area. The lounge area has a 2 seater sofa and 3 seater sofa/bed, English Satellite TV, DVD/video player. Patio doors lead out to a small balcony overlooking the condominium pools. A great place to sit and have a relaxing glass of wine at the end of the day and watch the more energetic holiday guests swimming in the pool below.

Bedroom one has a 5ft bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and bedside cabinets.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds with pull out guest bed underneath (ideal if you have 3 children you prefer to sleep in one room together), fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table and bedside cabinet.

The light and airy bathroom has a full size bath with shower over, toilet, bidet and basin. There is also a large entrance hall with fitted cupboards along one side.

The condominium has secure underground parking with lifts to all floors.

Heating: The air-conditioning is reversible therefore heating available in the cooler months.

There are several small supermarkets and banks within a few minutes walk from the apartment plus a medical centre and English speaking dentists. The old part of the town is a maze of cobbled streets with numerous little shops, bars and restaurants. There is a fruit and vegetable Market every Saturday.

We would request that guests do not smoke in the apartment and no pets are permitted.

Smoke and gas detector alarms are fitted in the apartment.

All gas, electrics and facilities inspected in 2012 as required for Portugese rental licence.

2 bedroom apartment which sleeps 4/6. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedroom 2 has twin single beds with a pull out guest bed underneath for families who have 3 children who prefer to sleep in the same room. The lounge has a double sofa/bed. Popular with 3 generational family whose budget doesn't stretch to a 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment is air conditioned and this is reversible to give heat in the cooler weather. TV is connected to a 'freesat' box which gives a number of English channels - no need to miss your favourite soaps!. (Turn off the freesat box and Portuguese TV available). There is also a VHS/DVD player available so take your childrens favourite films along with you to entertain them with when you want some quiet time.

About Carol

We are Adrian and Carol. We have 2 daughters now 18 and 21 and a son who is now married with children of his own.

Although the apartment is on the second floor, we have made everything as safe as possible for our own young grandchildren.

The apartment is spacious, light and airey and furnished to be comfortable and welcoming. We love our apartment and Armacao de Pera and wish we could spend more time there.

What makes this apartment unique

Armacao de Pera is in a lovely central location in the Algarve with good road links to all areas. Public transport is available and a rental car isn't a necessity but to really get out and about and visit some of the beautiful towns and villages around, a rental car is a bonus.

Whether you are interested in history, wildlife, water parks, shopping, golf, sight seeing, horse riding, water sports, motor racing or just getting a sun tan - Armacao de Pera is the perfect location, ideally positioned in the centre of the spectacular Algarve. It boasts one of the longest sandy beaches along the Algarve therefore, even at the height of the summer the beaches are never too crowded. At one end the fishermen still work from the beach and pull their boats out onto the sand at the end of the day. A boat trip to enjoy exploring the fascinating caves along the coast is not to be missed. Albufeira, the Zoo marine park, the Algarve shopping mall with its host of shops, cinemas and bowling, Vilamoura marina, several large water parks and numerous golf courses are all within a short driving distance. There are also many lovely old towns and villages to visit. Many of the major tourist attractions on the Algarve are within a 30 minute drive of Armacao de Pera.

Golf: There are approximately 20 golf courses, including 6 international courses, all within a short driving distance and more courses planned for the future. For the golfing enthusiast - you will be spoilt for choice!

Notes

  • A 25% deposit would be required to confirm the booking and balance to be paid 8 weeks before holiday commences. A refundable security deposit of £200 to cover accidental damage would be requested with your final payment. The refundable security deposit can be paid by separate cheque if required which would not be banked and would be returned within 7 days of you vacating the apartment in good order. This is purely to cover our insurance excess in the unfortunate event of a claim being necessary.
    Payments can be made by personal cheque, bank transfer or PayPal.
    Bank transfers can be made in GB£ to english bank account or Euros to Portugese bank account.

    Changeover days can be flexible. On arrival guests will be able to access the apartment after 2pm and are requested to vacate the apartment by 10am when leaving to allow time for the apartment to be cleaned for the next guests.
  • Towels and bed linen are provided but beach towels are not provided.
    Mid stay clean and change of linen are available by arrangement.
    Sun beds are available for use around the pool and there are beach umbrellas in the apartment for your use.

Notes: Internet access is not available in the apartment but there is an internet cafe just 2 minutes walk away and several Internet cafe close by or several free WiFi places very close by if you wish to use your own lap top . A car is not essential because there is public transport available and so much is within walking distance but if you like to get out and about to explore some of the lovely old villages and mountain areas, then a car is preferable. Airport transfers are available. It is approx a 40 minute car ride from Faro Airport to the apartment and this can be made by the resort shuttle service or by taxi. These are cheaper when booked on line prior to your visit. the resort shuttle is the cheapest but slower as it has to meander around the various resorts. A taxi is approx 120 Euro return depending on the number of people and size of vehicle required. Alternatively, our agent will collect and return up to 5 people for approx 80 Euro return.

Plenty of room

We all had a wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Portugal
The apartment had everything we needed with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The kids made good use of the pool and it was nice to be able to sit on the balcony and watch them.
I am quite sure I'll be in touch again in the future to book another holiday at Alto dos Navegantes.
