LUXURY SEA VIEW APARTMENT

as we were all very far from happy with what we had thought we had booked with her and the reality. Many of the descriptions were misrepresented. We did not have a luxury apartment, no sea view, no oven, no cable or satellite, no stereo, no nice balcony with views over pool to ocean, no video library etc

We were not disappointed when we arrived but dumbstruck.

The apartment the owner chose to put us in had not been agreed but was the 3rd one after the others had become unavailable for whatever reason.....with no notification in advance of our arrival of the changes.

Flat A23 we were given is basic and not luxury .........and certainly the seaviews are nothing but concrete.

The flat was not clean on arrival and despite getting in someone to do the necessary even this was not done properly as we found an Ipad cover under one of the beds and we ended up hoovering under all the furniture as it had not been done for a long, long time.

The aircon in the main living area was not working and should have been checked prior to our arrival.

All of these essential elements should have reasonanably been checked prior to our arrival.

Remarkably there was no guest information pack......hence we had to disturb the owner on several occasions to ask about the most basic things.....we gave up in the end and asked a neighbour where the rubbish should be put etc.

Miami Green is not a resort and certainly not child or family friendly. Not only were my wife and children verbally attacked by the security staff on several occasions when by the pool but so were the families of residents.....and as witnessed by the owner herself.

And then we have the construction works that totally ruined our second week....... the flat was not usable between 9:00 and 5:00 every day...the noise unbearable. The owner was notified along with all other residents by the management at least a week prior to our arrival but we were not advised as to whether this state of affairs would be acceptable.
The owner recognised that all was not correct but simply offered a full refund of our deposit the first morning which would have left us to find somewhere to live for 2 weeks without notice, jet lagged and not knowing Penang at all. A very kind gesture but one that in all reality was a non starter.
In summary very disappointed with the owner and her rentals , not professional and stay away from Miami Green which is not a family destination but for elderly couples escaping the Eu
