Llegamos a la casa sobre las cinco de la tarde del viernes con ganas de disfrutar un fin de semana fuera de la ciudad y así desconectar del duro día a día. Nos instalamos y aprovechando el buen día de sol que hacía salimos a dar un paseo por el olivar hasta el embalse. La vuelta hasta la casa es un poco pesada porque hay que caminar por una ladera escarpada, pero la vista entre parada y parada y la paz que nos rodeaba merecieron la pena.
Al día siguiente aprovechamos para conocer el pueblo y visitar el castillo (por cierto hay una tabernita junto al castillo en la que pueden degustar una tapeo muy bueno) y de vuelta al cortijo hicimos una barbacoa para almorzar.

La verdad el lugar tiene unas vistas sin igual y merece la pena visitarlo.

Dear Jose Carlos and family,
What a view! We just sat on the "baranda" and enjoyed the view. The children were n the pool all week and the eldest actually learned to swim without our help. We went "on discovery" between the olive trees and he children wanted to find a treasure.
Unfortunately, it started to rain. Covered in mud we finally arrived at the house, but kids believed they were real explores.
Luckily, the rest of the week was beautiful. Blue skies and temperatures between 25-30ºC.

Although the children loved the pool. we enjoyed the view the most.How nice to sit ourside in the early morning sun.

Yet another lovely holiday!. We have been counting and think this is now our fifth visit to your beautiful cortijo, which we like to think of as home from home, as we live in a farmhouse back home with good views but without the pool and the certainty of sun!

Thank you for a fantastic week at the cortijo. we have enjoyed the sunny days by the pool, dinning by the beach and visits to Seville.
The children couldn't have asked for a better place to spend their vacation.
The area and the cortijo will definitely be worth another visit.
Thank you Juan for acting as our local guide to the area and restaurants.
