In providing accurate, quotable rates, this site fails. It is easy to calculate your rates using the information below. Please keep in mind that children are people. Remember that you can call anytime or email us through our own site which will hold your email address private and secure. Our rates have remained unchanged for more than two years--no increases in property tax or insurances. We are aware of the economy, and we are aware of the value of our vacation rental. We do not negotitate. Unlike most other area businesses, our rates do not soar for festivals, bike week, birding week, Walleye Festival, Christmas in July or December, or any other event or national holiday.

2015 RATES—

MINIMUM TWO NIGHT STAYS. (Sunday through Thursday).

Up to 6 people; $240 nightly (minimum); $40 per person/per night.

Each additional person — $40 per person, per night.

MINIMUM WEEKEND STAYS. (Friday, Saturday).

Up to 6 people; $300 nightly (minimum); $50 per person/per night.

Each additional person — $50 per person, per night.

UPSTAIRS EFFICIENCY -- MINIMUM TWO NIGHT STAYS.

Up to 4 people — $120 per night (minimum).

Non-refundable 50% Deposit holds Lodge for your rental. Personal checks and cash accepted.

Local bed tax is included in rate. Please call at your convenience to discuss any questions you may have.

Dogs may be considered, and a phone call is necessary to talk with Jeff about your pet (or pets). Having boarded only once our Springer Spaniel, the late "Boner" once in the mid-90's at $25 per night, we understand that value and importance of traveling with one's pet. After speaking with you about your pet, Jeff may decide to invite you to bring your dog at a cost of $20 per dog, per night.

The system for providing quotes does not take into consideration the number of people, animals, week nights and week ends. Any quote you see from VRBO is inaccurate. You must call at your convenience to talk with us about making the Lighthouse Lodge your vacation rental.

At the Lighthouse Lodge, we welcome and accommodate small groups, multi-family groups, and very large groups. Antique collectors, birders, shooters for the national matches, artists, fisherman, hunters, and families enjoy the décor of this one of a kind place. Reunions, parties (bachelor and bachelorette), business gatherings, Girl Scout troops, and church groups are very satisfied with the Lodge's space and atmosphere. The Lighthouse Lodge is at the heart of local attractions and parks-- Lake Erie, Sandusky Bay, Johnson's Island, Lakeside, East Harbor and Port Clinton are all nearby.

We have an upstairs studio/efficiency off our sign studio that is available separately or in addition to Lodge rental.

You will never be asked by Jeff, Lisa, or the Lighthouse Lodge to download any app. Our booking confirmation form is a document within this site and could be downloaded. It may be wiser to download it from our own website. (Hope to learn how to get it there soon. Today is 3.25.2015.) Never will we ever ask you to download an app.

Do you truly feel you can pay to have confidence, vacation protection, avoid their booking fee, or buy an experienced property owner? We have been here since 1995 and have been active in the community with with our sign business and the Lighthouse Lodge since 2002. You need not pay to know that the Lighthouse Lodge has never had any problems with guests since 2006. (Well, except that bachelor party that forgot to have a designated person to get them to the last ferry at Put-in-Bay. Everyone was angry because they had to spend the night milling around outdoors at the dock PIB, and they all left forgetting to pay us or speak with us. But, we copy every group representative’s driver’s license and photograph license plates. It was easy for the local police and highway patrol to escort the groom and bachelors back here to pay us and profer a proper goodbye.) We trust you and expect no damage deposit. Those who broke things have explained to us; we understand things happen. We hope you understand that we are offering you a great vacation home. While we accept full responsibility for our vacation rental, we are not responsible for the other products presented to you at our listing on this site.

(ps--Bed tax is 3%--has been since instituted. Anyone suggesting that 6% of your rental fee is bed tax is ... wrong.)

I am a lifelong professional commercial artist and have used my abilities as a designer to create a Lodge that offers a unique lodging experience. I remain a paper/pencil guy. I believe in handshakes and phone conversations. I look forward to talking with potential guests and working with you to establish the Lighthouse Lodge as your vacation rental.

The Lighthouse Lodge is a 'live' project, changing and growing with antiques and art that are added regularly. I wanted to create the most unusual and comfortable place for groups to gather, and I know that the Lighthouse Lodge is exactly that.

Awesome Lodge

This place was vey fun. We had it for two days but wished we had it longer. The owners are super nice and very easy to deal with. Would recommend it for any big get together. Plenty of places to sleep.
