The Dreamhouse is a stone built family owned property inheritance, that we have been renovating and decorating for quite some years now. The garden is luscious, green and has lots of flowers. The pool area has a veranda, an outside shower, a fridge for your convenience, and lots of trees for a guaranteed privacy. The rental house is at the edge of the old village of Koskinou, but the whole garden is walled, and the location is at a hidden place, so one never expects to find this paradise behind the large stone walls. Going towards the house is a separate guest house with kitchenette and bathroom. There is a large veranda w. outside kitchenette, big lounging with lots of pillows, a double hanging bed and a big dining for long evenings with nice food. The house has 1 master bedroom, and 2 bedrooms upstairs: one with double and single bed, and one with single. The singles are more suitable for children. In the living room are 2 high raised hand crafted platforms with an office and a bed.

Stone built villa on peaceful location, hidden place in old village, w. luscious gardens close by beach. THE POOL IS WITHOUT CHLOOR, BUT WITH IONIZING SOPHISTICATED CLEANING SYSTEM.

Beautiful artistic stone built traditional villa from late 1800 with non-chlorine swimming pool (ionizing cleaning system), outside shower and luscious green and colourful garden, with outside kitchen, living space, lounging space and double hanging bed. Guest-house with kitchenette and bathroom separate from the house. All hidden at the edge of the old traditional village of Koskinou. The garden is walled and has parking space, and there three different entrances over the property.

The dreamhouse: The dream house has everything one wants of a holiday. Ibiza style garden that is located at a hidden place at the edge of an old authentic village closely Rhodes. It has an outside living, with outside kitchen, lounge, hanging bed, big dining, and luscious, green and colourful garden. The house has a guest house with double bed, kitchenette and bathroom. There are 2 verandas: one upstairs that is used as an outdoor house/living and one down at the pool area that is for lounging. The house is an old family property and one has to take into consideration that nothing is like it is in western and northern Europe: the walls are unstrained but very thick against the heat and the floors are very unstrained, but: this is at the same thing the most charming thing about Greece and what everyone wants in his escape from the western and straight society (at least i did): to unstrained out, and to unwind and relax, and that's just what this beautiful colourful artistic villa is all about.

We have a filter in the kitchen integrated in the watering system, which makes the best water for drinking, and for cooking as well. SO NO MORE BUYING AND CARRYING OF WATER BOTTLES IN THE HEAT.

Koskinou village exists of 2 parts: the old village/town, and around it the new area. As our interest with renting, and in general, only goes out to traditional, authentic places, we only speak about the old part in this website. In the old part (which is a village of its own), the houses date back to the 17th,18th and 19th century. Like in many places in Greece about 40 years ago people started abandoning their old stone family houses, to move into modern cement buildings out of the village centres or creating new centres. The houses then became ruins and were rediscovered and bought in their original state by foreigners, Greeks from Athens and some times local Greeks. They renovated these beautiful houses and recently all kinds of committees are being formed to keep or bring back the houses in the authentic state. The holiday home is about 40 minutes driving from Lindos, 90 minutes driving from Prasonisi surfers paradise, 10 minutes driving to Rhodes town and 5 to the sea.

Golf: Afandou golf course is a 20 minutes drive away.

  • The rooms up, are with 2 single bedroom reachable through a stairs and more look like children's room as they were originally meant to be. In the last room of these, is also a double bed. The floor of these bedrooms are made of single wood, made 2 centuries ago, so they are very unstrained and the whole scenery is rather romantic and original. At the beginning of these rooms is a very small and happy room in which is placed a baby cot. There is an en suite bathroom. The guest house has a double bed, but can also be placed an extra baby cot inside. The living room has a high raised platform with a large double bed, but this sleeping place is not suitable for less flexible people, so one has to be young or physically flexible to get there.

Best holiday since a long time

We have spent fantastic week in the Dream house. The house and garden is really special place, having all comfort for the holiday and unbelievable genius loci. Behind the back door, you will find the atmosphere of the old village of Koskinou, will small greek restaurants, old architecture. Few minutes of drive you can find nice small beaches (e.g. Oasis beach) with all privacy, stylisch bar and good food. All in all, it is a perfect contrast with mainstream holiday in the resort for people who want to enjoy it. Strongly recommended.

Our stay in the Dreamhouse

This place is like paradise, beautiful in every detail, inside and outside. The house is surrounded by lush trees and flowers and there are several beautiful lounging areas. The swimming pool is stunning and the water is very refreshing and non-chloric, which is really nice. All the furniture is lovely, lots of artistic detail and splendid colours. The kitchen is great, very practical and clean with a huge fridge (great for the massive watermelons) and everything else (dishwasher, oven etc). Most rooms have A/C so sleeping was no problem despite the heat outside. The eating area outside is completely in the shade and we had the most pleasant long breakfasts, lunches and dinners there. The house is right in the middle of the village, walking distance to the supermarket and the lovely cafe next doors where the kids got home made ice cream. Gudrun and Giorgos, the owners, are lovely people, very helpful. We have had an amazing time in the dream house and would strongly recommend it.

just lovely

Over the course of two weeks, ten people (a maximum of eight at any one time, and more typically six) came and went on our holiday - and all ten loved this place. A striking balance of style, authenticity and mod cons, with generous outside space, lots to explore, inside and out (trees, plants, herbs). An outside barbecue gave rise to highly sociable cooking. Too often we decided to hang around the villa rather than explore the island. Koskinou itself is a picturesque village - more so than is usual in Rhodes - and there were attractive local beaches a short drive down the hill (it's worth the extra ten minutes to seek out Anthony Quinn bay). You need a car. The owner was friendly (and funny) and gave us some good tips.
