Casa da Cuqueira offers the choice of:

Vinha, an appartment renovated in 2007, in the main house and comprising 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Large dinning room with fireplace and fully fitted kitchen. Living room with woodburning stove and TV (satellite). Private garden close to the swimming pool.

Eira is the most recent appartment (totally renovated in 2008). It is situated in the main house (ground floor) and comprises two bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms. Living room with woodburning stove and TV (satellite). Modern and fully fitted kitchen. Outside, the traditional 'eira' (threshing-floor in granite) and the old 'espigueiro' (granary). Just beside the swimming pool.

Vinha is a very large and independent appartment in the main house (renovated in 2007), with three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite, one shared). Cosy living room with TV (satellite), balcony and woodburning stove and a very large dining room with fireplace and fully fitted kitchen. Central heating. Outside, a private area with private garden close to the swimming pool with the mountains in background. In Vinha you really feel the atmosphere of an old farmhouse with its thick granite walls and large areas.

Casa da Cuqueira, located in the Vale do Ave region, is a fine example of the 19th century rural architecture typical of Minho province. It is part of an old farm comprising not just farmland but also woods and offers privacy amidst surroundings ideally suited for rest and tranquillity.

Casa da Cuqueira lies 1 km away from the town of Vieira do Minho, about 30 km from Braga.

Located in the vicinity of the Ermal Dam, the farm and its surroundings are ideally suited for pleasant and interesting walks.

The whole district, stretching as far as the Caniçada Dam, offers countless trips which beckon you to discover its beautiful landscape and rich cultural heritage.

Electricity, gas, water included in the price. Towels & linens provided, cleaning (once per week) included. Wood for the fireplaces is also supplied by the owner.
