Built in 1820 this first floor flat originally formed part of the regional bank manager's apartments (and remains above the Clydesdale bank to this day). Fully and tastefully modernised in recent years, it retains several original features. Its location - on South Street and immediately opposite the historic Holy Trinity Church - places you right at the heart of the beautiful and historic town of St Andrews. Two beaches, the harbour, cathedral and castle, Scotland's oldest university (currently celebrating 600 years) and the world famous home of golf, the Old Course, are all minutes walk away and you will find an array of interesting shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs almost on your doorstep. At the back of the property, you can enjoy a lovely, secluded garden. This is a perfect base for golfers or for exploring Fife, its fishing villages, Edinburgh, Dundee, Falkland Palace, Glamis Castle or the beautiful Angus Glens. You will have a wonderful holiday here.

Excellent Stay

This flat is in a perfect location for visiting St. Andrews. There are loads of restaurants and shops just steps away. The flat has high ceilings and feels very spacious with two large windows overlooking South Street. The bedrooms are a good size with adequate closet space. The kitchen has all the amenities you need, including a washing machine. There is a charming garden hidden away in back where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful flowers. The owner is so kind and accommodating and will answer any questions you might have about the flat or the area. We would stay here again without hesitation.

The owners were keen to make us feel welcome and provided us with good information. We had a lovely stay and the highlights have to be the central location and charming 'secret garden'. Ideal sized flat for my family of 3. We enjoyed staying in central St Andrews with easy access to golf, shops and beach. The flat also offers the use of a delightful garden, wonderful to read in on a sunny day. The owners had kindly supplied some welcome extras to make us feel welcome: wine, coffee and toiletries.
Although not a luxury spec apartment, it has good sized neutral rooms with lovely large windows. We had the 2 rooms made up as double bedrooms and these were of an adequate size for our stay. The bathroom is a little tired and lacks storage, but functional. The flat benefits from a washing machine and reasonable selection of kitchen equipment. I did miss my tumble dryer and dish washer, but for a weeks break it was fine. It does have a flight of stairs up to the flat and this was fine for us, but may be an issue for carrying heavy golf bags up and down if less agile.
To enable visitors to keep the flat clean it would be helpful to have a more powerful Hoover?
Overall a good flat, and we would certainly recommend as it is a super base for golfing, exploring St Andrews and Fife. We certainly hope to return.

What a Wonderful Property

If you're wanting an apartment in the middle of all that is happening in St. Andrews you have found your new home. The location is amazing as it affords ready access to the heart of St. Andrews and the convenience of a taxi stand just a few steps away. The apartment was well appointed and the kitchen was fully equipped for most cooking needs. You will find fresh produce, fish, meat, and cheese within blocks and a host of restaurants that will satisfy your dinning needs. Golf is within easy reach of a short taxi ride and the many sites to see in the area will welcome you. The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating to our booking needs. When we return to St Andrews this will be the location we seek to come back to - when you come, you will want to come back too.

Beautiful, well located flat in St. Andrews

My husband and I got married in St. Andrews on September 2, 2011, and used this property as our base for the week. It is a spacious, well kept flat right in the heart of the town, and the owners are really nice, flexible people that work really hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay - we were even given a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding! I would definitely recommend this property to couples or small groups of people looking to holiday in St. Andrews.

Lovely flat in beautiful St. Andrews

We stayed three nights in this bright lovely flat in St. Andrews. It is outfitted with everything you could possibly need and MORE. Large rooms, clean modern kitchen and bathroom. We really felt like royalty. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in St. Andrews. It is close to everything and we enjoyed walking all around the village, the beaches, the historic sites. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

Great Location

This flat is absolutely fantastic for a central location for touring St. Andrews and Fife. We had a great week in August, there are many restaurants within a few minutes walk. The owners are very friendly and have many helpful hints to make you feel like a local in minutes. The flat is well appointed and very comfortable. Best thing I can most likely say is that I am back in St. Andrews, this is first place that I will consider staying.
