We stayed in Mario and Patricia's apartment for 2 weeks in March 2015. Their apartment is lovely, spacious, bright and equipped with everything you need. The apartment is in a great location, very easy to get around and close to the bus stop. We did many day trips from Palermo and it was very easy to get to the bus and train station. Mario and Patricia were very kind and generous. The apartment had welcoming wine, lots of bottled water, fruit and everything we needed for breakfast the next morning. I cannot say enough about Mario and Patricia and how lovely they were to deal with, it was a treat.
I would highly recommend their apartment.
We selected this lovely appartment based on other reviews and the location, we certainly hit the jackpot! Communication with Patricia from the start was easy & professional, on arrivel we where met by Patricia & Mario, the lovley appartment was better in real life, modern, clean and everything amd more you could poasibly need. Even some welcoming fruit and wine which was a nice touch. The location is perfect, easy on foot to the old part of Palermo, bus stop is very close by to Mondello, and lots of great restaurants and trattoria on the other side of Via Liberta. Staying in this gorgeous appartment and the hospitality of Patricia and Mario enhanced our stay in Palermo, I can highly recommend this appartment
Location is great is only 3 min walk to bus stop, where we could go or to city center or Mondello Beach. Close distance to restaurfants.
Flat: Well equipped, where we could find everything we need. Also in each room airconditioner were available. This flat was clean and during our stay (7 days) there was a cleaning lady to replace bed sheets, towels and clean all flat.
Owner: Lovely lady who explained where we can find everything in the apartament also helped us with panning our stay.
Thank you Particia, for making our holidays beautiful memory.
Patricia was very patient as due to transport problems we arrived later in the evening than originally planned She kept in touch by email and gave us instructions on how to get to the apartment and was there to meet us.
Even though it was later in the evening Patricia was happy to give us all instructions needed not only about the apartment but also about getting around Palermo and places to go etc.
Patricia welcomed us with a much needed large bottle of ice cold water, selection of cold drinks and fruit juice and even a couple of beers in fridge. She also provided Italian filter coffee to use in an american coffee maker or an Italian one which we chose to use and even ended up purchasing one to take home. If that wasn't enough she also provided a lovely bottle of red wine with snacks and a basket of fruit. We were so delighted with this welcome after a long day travelling and have never received such a generous welcome before.
The apartment was lovely, stylish and comfortable with great air conditioning and very well furnished and supplied. The bedroom was large, the bed comfortable with lovely linen and pillows. A hair-dryer supplied and also an iron and board which was a welcome luxury after travelling for 11 days living out of a suitcase.
The apartment is situated in a great safe location on a very high-end street surrounded by designer shops. Opposite there is a Carrefour supermarket and Patricia kindly told us where the bus stops were to get to the old town and Mondello beach but to be honest we walked our way around Palermo quite easily and it really is only a 10-15 minute walk to Theatro Massimo although we did get the bus to Mondello beach.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return in the not too distant future and of course would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to friends and family.
Grazie mille Patricia & Mario
We spent 8 wonderful days in this lovely apartment over Easter this year. It was part of a 3 month visit to Italia (our 9th visit) and this apartment is one of the loveliest.
Patricia answere all my correspondence immediately and efficiently. Any concerns we had in the apartment were dealt with immediately.
We were greeted with such warmth and generosity, wine, drinks and a wonderful traditional Easter cake. The apartment itself is full of light, spotless, well set up with a comfortable eating area & compact but excellent kitcen area. We ate at home a few times. The bed was very comfortable, the linen excellent. A great bathroom. We were not bothered by any noise- too tired after walking miles every day! The location is perfect. We highly recomend this lovely apartment.
As for Palermo - the city just gets better with each visit and Easter of course makes it very special with a traditional celebration.
Try Trattoria del Massimo for an amazing authentic experience- go before 13.00
Seek out the markets, visit Mondello and Monreale.
Embrace this unique city, stay in this wonderful apartment and you will be rewarded with a memorable experience.
We are happy to recommend this nifty apartment, and want to thank Patricia for being such a kind and generous host. She was prompt and helpful in her communications as we set up the rental, and gave us a good introduction on arrival. We were delighted to find that the fridge was stocked with various libations. The apartment is a well-designed and nicely furnished one bedroom unit. The kitchen is compact, but has everything one needs for preparation of light meals. (There’s a good grocery store about a block away.) The bedroom is spacious with lots of storage and a big and comfortable bed. The living/dining room has good chairs and lights. The apartment is in a good neighbourhood, a block off the V. Della Liberta, with all its high-end shops. You can catch buses on Liberta that will take you on the short ride to Teatro Massimo, and the old centre. (Catch the return bus on Via Roma). We found some good places to eat over on the other side of Liberta (Le Volte [on Agrigento]; Kovacs [on Liberta], and Cucine e Pizza [on XX Settembre] – we liked the last the best). Our only qualification concerns noise. The living room looks over a restaurant, which generates normal restaurant hubbub, but nothing excessive. The bedroom is over a fairly busy street, and one night there were some noisy cars. So, it’s not the place for a perfect peace and quiet. But remember, first, that you are unlikely to find peace and quiet anywhere in Palermo, and second, that if this apartment were in a quieter place, you would most certainly be paying a lot more than Patricia charges. Thanks again, Patricia, for helping to make our four days in Palermo so enjoyable and rewarding.
