These properties are ideal for exploring the Split area of Croatia, minutes to a beautiful bay and all amenities are all within a short walking distance.
The views from the apartments is spectacular, waking up each morning to them is a delight. Right beside the beach and local amenities. Great location on the island.
Just to let you know that our week at Apartment 19 was absolutely great. Accommodation, facilities, and position excellent, which together with Josipa's friendly welcome, and assistance, all combined to ensure our long awaited family holiday was enjoyable, and relaxing. Looks as though we chose the "right week" as well regarding weather, which was great all week, and looking pretty stormy for this one !
Local restaurants, beaches, and Cocktail bars, particularly on Wold Cup Football opening night, we're very vibrant, and also added to the relaxed, and enjoyable local atmosphere.
So, thank you for the facilities provided by No 19, and look forward to returning at some stage in the future.

Beautiful appartment, beautiful part of Croatia, fantastic holiday!
Firstly I'd like to thank you for renting us this exceptionally clean, spacious and well located appartment. The views are fantastic and it's proximity to everything is great. I honestly did not want to leave!
Ciovo is a fun, friendly beach town with lots of families and young people alike. Days are spent relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea and evenings are spent in the many beach bars and concerts; or just dining in one of the resturants. We liked eating in 'Leonardo's' a pizza place by the marina, great stone-baked pizzas for about 3 pounds! I would advise people to bring a phrase book though as most Croatians do not speak English. The boat into Trogir is a fun inexpensive way to see this wonderful city. Trogir is a must see. The tiny cobbled streets are marvelous and the terraces are great to get a bite to eat or sip a cocktail. And the ice-cream is delicious! We went on one of the island hoping day trips and visited Solta and Medena, they were just beautiful and unspoilt. The week we were there must have been the hottest week all year, so the air conditioning was a life saver. Having a washing machine was great too, and the clothes literally dried in 10 minutes out on the balcony!
All-in-all this was a truly wonderful experience in which I have great memories. I have fallen in love with this part of the world and hope to return one day.
Thanks Alison, all the best to you.......

We had a wonderful holiday on CIovo. The apartment was exactly as described and was in easy reach of the beach (3 mins), local hotels/restaurants (2 mins) and the town of Trogir is about 5 minutes away. We had a perfect week on the island with friends, we plan to return to the same area and will stay in Alison's apartment again.
This penthouse was just as it was described the view was excellent and in a perfect position, it was quiet but in easy reach of Trogir. The owner made it easy for us too book and helped us with different enquires that we had. She thoughtfully provided a wide range of equipment including books, DVD and information of the area which was very useful.
We booked Penthouse 8b, Ulica Ante Starcevica 45, Okrug Gornji, Ciovo, Croatia, through Alison McDonnell.
The building manager who we contacted before arrival, told us to contact him again 10 minutes before we arrived at the accommodation, but he then did not answer his phone and the taxi driver struggled to find the property. First impression as we arrived from the street was properties finished to a poor standard, not welll maintained and wasteland for sale. The virtually empty block in which we'd rented the penthouse looked bleak. We had to climb 6 flights of stairs with our cases as there was no lift. The main living area was clean. adequate but compact. There were no basic items like washing up liquid, bin liners, kitchen foil etc and only 1 toilet roll. The main bedroom is sparce with a cot and vaccum cleaner in it. The so called large double bed is 2 single mattressed together. The 2nd bedroom also sparce but adequate. The view from the bedrooms is a wasteland again but with a old caravan and awning. The shower room which is not shown on the preview is functional but with very poor flimsey shower cubical. You share this room with washing machine, ironing board and cleaning equipment including mop and bucket. The balcony which we were led to believe had a BBQ did not. The surrounding walls are in dire need of decoration and repair. The table has paint peeling off and when you wipe it more comes off on the cloth. A BBQ was available in the next block of flats, but that would involve the six flights of stairs, plus another large flight of stairs to this BBQ. However, every evening a car was parked across the BBQ and we could not find the owner. We would not revisit this accommodation but enjoyed Croatia in general and Ciovo itself.
Nice appartment, clean, proper, well organized. Very friendly and helpfull lady for key, questions etc. Ofcourse nice weather, great island!
3 minutes walk from sea, nice and good restaurants, amazing friendly people in Croatia. We had a wonderfull 2 weeks here. Good appartmet related to price.
