We were born and grown up in Mulazzo. We then left and spent most of our lives away from here, raising the children and building a good business with shops of linen and underwear.
Mulazzo is our hometown. The family grew up here and left when the kids were little. The property was acquired and renovated about ten years ago and gave us the possibility to go back to were we belong. Spinosecco is now run with the help of our children.
We decided to invest on Spinosecco because the place is magical. The founding dates back to the middle age while the building itself is from 1650. In the summer it is never too hot and in spring and autumn it is cool and poetic. We wanted the renovation to be modern and comfortable and the interior design to be cozy and welcoming. We spend a lo of time in the garden, taking care of the pool, of the flowers and of the vegetables we grow. We also learnt to love receiving guests from all over the world and it is something we want to keep on doing.
The property is in the medieval village of Mulazzo, in the heart of Lunigiana reason in the north of Tuscany, far away from the touristic crowd, nestled on the hills overlooking the Magra river valley.
Lunigiana is well known for its middle age castles, many of them open to tourists and recently restoredbut also for its nature still wild and free.
The village of Mulazzo is peaceful and quiet and it is surrounded by woods and rivers everywhere. It is 10 minutes drive from Pontremoli where shops, restaurants, hospital and banks are.
The beautiful beaches of 5 Terre are about 20 minutes drive, Pisa is 45 minutes drive and Firenze is less than 2 hours drive.
It is possible to enjoy Vermentino wine makers visits and to eat typical food in the many restaurants close to the property.
Golf playing, horse riding, whitewater rafting and mountain biking are also available.
