Puglia stretches from the stiletto of Italy's heel to the spur further up the boot and has a sunny Mediterranean climate. The region is very 'Italian' and boasts over 50 million olive trees producing 10% of the world's olive oil. It is also the largest wine producing area with vineyards in abundance.
Trullo Olivia is situated in Capo di Gallo, a few km from Alberobello, the main town of the Trulli region. Home to around 1400 Trulli clustered together forming narrow cobbled streets; there are many excellent restaurants, bars and shops selling local handicrafts.
Alberobello lies in the picturesque Itria valley and is a facinating town to explore, market day is a must. Locorotondo and Martina Franca a short drive with Ostuni a little further away. The rocky Adriatic coast is around 20 km to the east with small sandy inlets, crystal clear water and many wonderful seafood restaurants overlooking the sea. The Ionian coast is around 50 km away and has long sandy beaches worth exploring
