Monkswell Park dates back to the 1920s, and is described in Pevsner's Buildings of England as 'The most distinguished property tucked into the slopes overlooking Hope Cove with wings angled to create a protected terrace with veranda facing the sea.' With fabulous sea views over Lyme Bay Monkswell Park benefits from an extremely rural and quiet, picturesque clifftop location, but is only one and a half miles from Torquay town centre, and approximately twenty miles from the historic city of Exeter. There are excellent local shops and restaurants nearby, and a sandy beach within half a mile of the property. There is also 'near-private' access to a pebble beach from the one and a half acre lawned garden. The nearest railway station is Torquay although Newton Abbot is only seven miles away. The nearest airport is Exeter

It is and just half a mile from the nearest public sandy beach complete with it's own beach cafe', and there is access to a near-private pebbled beach from the one and a half acre lawned garden, though please note the steps down to the beach are steep, can be strenuous, and may be dangerous for unaccompanied children.     Low Season Short Breaks can be taken with a minimum stay of three nights if available, and will be charged at £95.00 per night.
