Modern two bedroom, two bathroom apartment available for short term or long term letting. Boasting a bright and contemporary interior and high finish, this lovely second floor flat has the use of a decked balcony that directly overlooks the canal.

The property comprises 19' reception room with slick open-plan kitchen with a balcony which has city views and directly overlooks the canal. There are views of Limehouse Marina from the living room which is on your doorstep.

This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom open plan modern and contemporary apartment with new furnishings and a bright and fresh feel with views over the canal and 2 min from the local station.

It is located within a secured block and has a concierge and underground parking. As the Limehouse Marina, Thames and the canal are all on the doorstep this apartment is a great location to relax at or access the city centre with a Tesco supermarket 2 minute's walk.

Or if you travel two stops in the opposite direction you arrive at Canary Wharf with its may shopping malls and restaurants. There is absolutely no need to have a car if you are using this apartment as for a tourist holiday in London, a 2 minute walk to the DLR (underground) and buses from the city centre 24 hours a day.

There is a Tesco supermarket 100metres from the apartment open from 7am till 11pm seven days a week.

The apartment is very well located for getting to all the main tourist attractions in London. Two stops from the apartment and you are at The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St. Katherine's Dock three of the major tourist attractions. Then you can walk along the river to HMS Belfast ship, The Globe Shakespeare's theatre, Tate Gallery and St. Paul's Cathedral.

The apartment is a two minute walk from Limehouse DLR station which is the new east London extension of the underground system. Two stops will take you to bank station, change to the Central Line and 3 more stops and you are shopping in Oxford street which is the heart of the city centre, a 10 to 15 minute journey in total. Or you can catch the 15, 115 or 135 bus from outside the front door of the apartment which run 24 hours a day and be in Trafalgar Square, The Mall, Buckingham Palace in the heart of the city in 20 minutes.

From Airports - By Road: From Heathrow airport, is via the underground 50mins, Piccadilly Line (dark Blue) to Acton Town Station, change onto the District Line (Green) travel to Bank station on the change to DLR line (light blue) 2 stops to Limehouse. The local taxi company charge £40 - £45 from Tequila to Heathrow.

From Stansted airport a train takes you to Liverpool st. Station and then take a 15 bus to the door or grab a 5 min taxi ride.

The property is situated perfectly for swift access to Canary Wharf, Rotherhithe Tunnel and A13 for those travelling by road.

Alternative zur Hotelunterkunft in London

Die angebotene Ferienwohnung im Osten Londons liegt zwar nicht optimal zentral, man benötigt allerdings nur Stationen mit der DLR-Bahn bis zur Towerbridge; zusätzlich gibt es eine Busverbindung zum Piccadilly Circus, Dauer ca. 50 Min.
Der Kontakt im Vorfeld mit dem Vermieter Steve war sehr nett und unkompliziert, ebenso gab es wichtige Tipps für die Anreise per U-Bahn.
Die Wohnung liegt in einem bewachtem Mietblock und verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer, ein Elternschlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem kleinen Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten, in dem unsere beiden Töchter (11 und 13) geschlafen haben. Dieses Schlafzimmer war für die beiden Kids gerade noch o.k., für Erwachsene waren die Matratzen viel zu weich und müssten ausgetauscht werden. Es gibt 2 Badezimmer, was bei einer Belegung mit 4 Personen sehr sinnvoll ist, die allerdings nicht über Fenster verfügen. Die Klimaanlagen/der Abzug der beiden Bäder müsste dringend gereinigt werden. Wir haben Sie aufgrund des Zustands nicht benutzt.
Die Wohnküche ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, im modernen Charme der 90-er Jahre. Das Geschirr, besonders die Töpfe und Pfannen waren leider in keinem sauberen Zustand und wir haben sie aus diesem Grund nicht benutzt, was etwas schade war, da London und seine Verpflegung insgesamt sehr teuer ist. Ebenso wie eine komplette Küchenreinigung fehlte auch eine gute Reinigung des vorhandenen Sofas.
Insgesamt war der Zustand der Wohnung zum bezahlten Mietpreis in unseren Augen dadurch nicht mehr ganz angemessen, der Aufenthalt insgesamt aber akzeptabel, da wir uns ja bewusst gegen einen Hotelaufenthalt entschieden hatten.
Nur wenige Meter entfernt gab es einen kleinen, aber gut ausgestatteten Tesco zum täglichen Einkauf.
Es empfiehlt sich einige Buchungen für Unternehmungen und Besuche direkt von Deutschland aus zu buchen. Klappt auch mit Taxibuchungen von Heathrow zum Apartment sowie am Abreisetag früh morgens von dort zum Airport. Ebenfalls nicht ganz billig, aber sehr stressfrei. Näher gelegen ist der City Airport, der allerdings nur von mo-fr angeflogen wird.
Unbedingt ein Muss: ein Musicalbesuch in einem der zahlreichen Musicaltheater. Auch hier gib es Special-Price-Angebote, die man bereits in Deutschland buchen und per Kreditkarte bezahlen muss. Die Karten werden dann im jeweiligen Theater hinterlegt und müssen vorher abgeholt werden.
Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt von 7 Tagen zu lang und der gesamte Aufenthalt dadurch sehr teuer, 4 Tage London reichen.
