amazing apartment with amazing views of big Ben and London eye. living area best part of apartment as so spacious with fantastic views. only down side was the kitchen needs to be far better equipped with glasses. only 2 tumblers in a2 bedroom apartment. kids ended up having to drink their milk and water out of coffee cups. enough wine glasses for a party but not enough every day glasses. this however would be the only issue to an otherwise perfect apartment, perfect location and excellent value for money. will return to themes view apartments, apartment 66 on our next visit for sure.

3 Star Property masquerading as a 5 Star

I stayed with my wife and two young children at this Vauxhall apartment for two weeks in early December 2011. I have booked apartments and houses before via the internet without any problem in both Europe and the US. This was the first time I booked via a managing agent rather than the owner – and will be the last.

Briefly, these were the issues we had:
1. Reservation – I initiated a booking in April, 8 months before our visit. Our reservation was initially for another apartment, Skyline. A few weeks before our scheduled visit we were unilaterally shifted to the Vauxhall apartment. I suspected it was a case of over booking.

2. Check in – We turned up late in the afternoon and were turned away; we were told there was no booking. With two tired children in tow and an 8 month confirmed booking it was the last thing we expected. We had to make several calls to BLL to gain admittance.

3. State of Appliances – the following did not work properly or at all – washer/dryer, microwave, TV. We phoned and mentioned this next morning and were advised a repairman would be around next day. Eventually the TV and microwave were replaced. The washer was allegedly repaired but did not work .

4. Plumbing issues – when we arrived the kitchen was absolutely putrid, a stench emanating from the kitchen sink. The basin in the ensuite was also putrid. A plumber came around at least twice during our stay. His “solution” was to pour a bottle of a draining gel down each drain and leave a few spare bottles. After the first week we closed off the ensuite, the stench was so overpowering.

5. Lack of privacy – on about the 4th day of our visit we found out in the evening that the manager had given access to our apartment to several workmen and a real estate agent – without any supervision and without either notice to us or our permission. That is unacceptable.

6. Lack of responsiveness – I have read here and on other sites where this property is listed that well after December, tenants are still having the same issues with faulty sanitation and appliances.

7. Refund – after our visit I liaised with the manager of BLL about our experience. After a period of negotiation, BLL refunded a significant portion of the rental fee and apologised for the state of the property.

The property has potential to be a 5 star property. In our experience it is a 3 star, masquerading as a 5 star and charging 5 star rates. There are better properties and managers to be found.

Beautiful

My family and I had a great time staying at this apartment. Excellent location, well maintained apartment, great view. The meet and greet was very good. We had all the amenities we needed in the apartment and most of the supplies. Getting transportation was extremely easy, even for a young family like mine (with 2 toddlers!).
What we liked best was the location and ease of transportation. What we liked least was the fact that we had no access to the mail box and could not get slips left for online orders dropped with the concierge.

Excellent location, nice apartment right by the Thames river and Fauxhall station.

Secured access to the building, two very nice restaraunts right on the river walk and even access to the river transportation if desired.

Close to shopping and food, easy access to the tube and the river walk is beautiful. Balcony overlooking the street and a view of neighborhood.

Many historic sites are just walking distance away and the night time picture of the Thames looking towards tower bridge is keepsake.

Vauxhall is a beautiful inner-city area of South London, in the London Borough of Lambeth. At one point, it was in the historic county of Surrey. It's currently a popular residential area for Members of Parliament and civil servants, due to its proximity to the Houses of Parliament and Whitehall.   • Both bedrooms are doubles and come furnished with large double bed, duvet, duvet cover. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with own shower, basin and toilet. The master bedroom also has floor to ceiling sliding doors. Both bedrooms have double glazed windows and very well sound insulated floors. The rooms are very light and airy and have a clean crisp décor, wooden flooring and have ample space and are very comfortable and quiet. You will have a fabulous stay in this apartment.
