Well equipped kitchen, master bedroom with views overlooking the beach, two additional double/twin bedrooms, upstairs bathroom with jacuzzi bath, downstairs shower room, utility room with washer, dryer, additional fridge freezer and custom designed wetsuit drying area. To the rear is a small garden. The property is in a gated development with allocated parking to the rear and additional parking to the front. Situated in the quiet area of Pentire the beach is less than 5 minutes walk and town centre 15 minutes walk. The property has full broadband internet access and two high spec LED Internet connected TVs in the lounge dining room and downstairs bedroom/den.

About Peter Kumik

We are a family living in Buckinghamshire. We have two children aged 10 & 11 years and this is our holiday home. We enjoy the countryside doing lots of outdoor activities including surfing.

Why Peter Kumik chose Newquay

We have friends with an apartment in Newquay that we have used regularly over many years. Pentire is a quiet area and has the beach at the doorstep but is also an easy walk into the town where there are all the shops and things to do for the kids that you need. Last Christmas we saw the house in Hatfield Crescent advertised and decided it was exactly what we wanted as a family holiday home. We often spend holiday weeks and weekends in Newquay all year round so we knew we would use it. It was also such an obvious holiday rental we hope to cover some of our costs by letting it out when we are not using it.

What makes this house unique

Multiple rooms in the property overlook Fistral beach which is a short walk from the front door. You can spend hours in any conditions relaxing on the sofa with a coffee or glass of wine just watching the surf and beach. More to the point you can pick your conditions if you want to catch the best waves. There are plenty of surf hire shops and surf schools within an easy walk.

Newquay has an aquarium the kids love to go back to visit, mini golf, a golf course, sports facilities such as climbing, swimming, tennis, boating pool, plenty of shops and bars as well as cliff walks and easy access to all the beautiful beaches and towns of north Cornwall.

Amazing view

We had a fantastic time in Newquay and the house was everything we hoped for. Perfect location for the beach and the town. The children all enjoyed the holiday and we made it to the beach everyday. The jacuzzi bath was very popular with our youngest! Definitely recommend this beautiful home and will certainly look at coming back.

Great holiday rental property

I rented this property for my family when we came to Newquay for a wedding. We loved the location, close to Fistral beach and with sea views. Inside the property I was impressed by the quality of fittings and provision of equipment - I haven't seen a better equipped kitchen. I would recommend it unreservedly.

Luxury accommodation, Beautiful view!

We have had a fabulous week, the property was perfect for popping to the beach. The welcome gifts and milk in the fridge was a thoughtful idea. The kids loved the "den" with the tv, my daughter said that it was the perfect place for a holiday. The property is kitted out to a high standard so it made for a very pleasurable stay. Now we are home we are missing that view. Many thanks, we will return on our next visit to Cornwall.

Learning to Surf in Newquay

We stayed in this property with 4 teenagers, who were looking to learn to surf, as part of their future career plans to surf in the summer and ski in the winter...

The property was ideally located just at the top of the cliff a short walk from the sea. The boys signed up for a few lessons with Quicksilver surf school since it was the nearest to the house, they were looked after really well and had all managed to surf by the end of the week. They also spent an afternoon coasteering which they enjoyed. They recommend the use of full length wetsuits as the sea was too cold for shorties.

In the evenings they were able to walk into town and enjoyed checking out the under 18 clubs.

They all slept in the "den" at the house and made good use of the wifi and the film subscription. The house was very clean, had fabulous views from the windows and the owner had provided plenty of extras for our stay.

My husband and I also enjoyed the holiday as we were lucky with the weather and hardly had to use the car, although we did do some sightseeing. The boys never wanted to leave Newquay having everything they required within walking distance.

All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and a lovely holiday home, my only gripe ( and it is a very small one) would be the water pressure upstairs, which meant that we really had to use the downstairs shower and the bath took ages to fill.

The boys are all keen to go back again next year and even my husband who was initially aghast at the thought of going to Newquay had to admit he had a wonderful time.

Owner's Response: Sadly the issue with water pressure is a much wider one in Cornwall in the summer. The number of visitors in high season puts a big additional demand on water and as a result the water pressure in a number of areas of Cornwall suffers on occasion, Newquay being one of them. I discussed this with the plumber who looks after the house and it's a problem for the water company and not the plumbing. Unfortunately Helen seemed to suffer from this but other summer weeks didn't seem to be affacted.
