Superly appointed cottages situated in Morbihan, Southern Brittany, lying just outside the picturesque village of La Vraie Croix. Set in attractive gardens with heated 12 x 6 heated swimming pool, swings, zip wire, slides, play room/games room. Ideal for families with young children as the garden and swimming pool are fully fenced. Also large grassed area at the rear for ball games, bamington and boules court. Only 20 minutes to beautiful golden sandy beaches and historic town of Vannes with its timbered builings and flowered ramparts.

A very spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area with exposed beams and large original Breton granite fireplace fitted with log burning stove. There are comfortable sofas, CD stereo and TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. There is also an extra large fridge freezer. An inner hall leads through to the bathroom, which has been designed for wheelchair access, fitted with shower, basin and wc. A large double bedroom with exposed beams fitted with wardrobe, chest of drawers etc. A very spacious light and airy cottage, disabled-friendly. The first floor has pine flooring throughout consisting of a large double bedroom with ensuite fitted with vanity unit and wc. Two twin bedrooms each fitted with built in wardrooms. A family size bathroom with shower, basin and wc.A south facing patio at the front of the cottage with garden furniture and BBQ. Large fully fenced garden leading to the securely fenced heated swimming pool(12m x 6m).

Lestroue Holiday Cottages are situated a mile from the picturesque village of La Vraie Croix and 4 miles from the market town of Questembert. Within easy reach of the Gulf of Morbihan with many lovley golden sandy beaches and the Medival towns of Vannes and Rochefort en Terre. The area offers excellent opportunities for walking, cycling, golf, fishing , canoeing, boat trips and water sports. The ferry ports are 2 hours from St Malo, 3 hours from Roscoff and 4 hours from Cherbourg and Caen. The airports of Rennes, Nantes and Lorient are all within an hours drive.

  • Rates are fully inclusive of electricity, gas, water, heating and bed linen. Towels are not included.
  • Changeover day of Muscadet and Chardonnay is Saturday and Friday for Bordeaux, Merlot and La Peche. These days are negotiable out of season. A non refunable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Ours was a party of seven and stayed in the Chardonnay cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. Having the owners on site was very useful for help with those little minor disasters. Steve and Georgina were the perfect Hosts.
We made good use of the pool, gamesroom and playground which meant less time driving around trying to find things to do. However, the places we did want to visit were all within 20 mins driving on uncrowded roads.
A good time was spent by all - highly recommended.

Cosy Cottages in Southern Brittany

A very well planned and executed development of a small group of cottages in Southern Brittany. The conversions have been done to a high standard and the properties are well maintained. The site is very attractive with some thoughtful details and a nice pool area. Good games room too. The helpful owners live onsite which is a bonus. The location is good. Its about a mile to the nearest village which is charming and has a shop, bakery and bar. Other larger towns are a 5-10 minute drive and the medieval city of Vannes is about 20 minutes drive. The general area has lots to do with a focus on the sea and especially the Gulf of Morbihan. The nearest beach is at Damgan, about 30 minutes drive and a good beach for young children. Don't forget to take towels as they are not included (bed linen is). Only real downside is having to undertake a thorough clean of the property before departing at 10am. This is Brittany so the weather can be mixed. Recommended, especially for Francophiles.
