Greenkeeper Lodge is situated in the quiet leafy suburb of Lakeside and overlooks the 13th hole of West lake Golf Club with a spectacular mountain backdrop. The highly-rated golf course and the warm welcome offered to visitors make this every golf enthusiast's dream accommodation! We offer a spacious, self-contained apartment on the first floor of the main house with private access, safe parking and accommodation for 2 guests. A private balcony and salt water swimming pool are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Greenkeeper Lodge is close to the swimming beaches of False Bay and the adjacent Table Mountain Reserves, as well as having easy access to the city's major attractions (25 mins). The Lodge is within easy reach of Clovelly and Steenberg Golf Courses and the Constantia Valley Wine Route. These attractions and the wide range of excellent restaurants in the vicinity make Greenkeeper Lodge the perfect location for a holiday in Cape Town.

It was brilliant. Heather and Bruce are friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. It was our first accommodation in SA and it was a perfect start! We were travelling with a one-yearold and Heather and Bruce helped us with everything regarding the baby.

The flat is really tastefully furbished - with a luxurious bath and a very nice bedroom. It's conveniently situated in a nice and safe neighbourhood.

The view over the golf-course is very nice. Especially in the evenings with the mountains in the background and a glass of wine in the foreground.

I would definitely recommend this apartment. And if we will ever get the chance to go to SA again, we will definitely try to stay at Greenkeeper Lodge again.

A home from home - and then some!

Firstly, Heather & Bruce couldn't do any more to make one welcome. Then the apartment is just out of this world. Very well appointed and containing everything needed for a restful holiday. Great views of the Golf Course, aceess to the swimming pool and barbeque, fully equiped kitchen and a welcome bowl of fruit and bottle of wine.
Being a woman on my own I had been wary of staying alone in an apartment. There is no need, at all, to worry. The security is very good and there is an alarm system that can be used both when you are in and when you are out enjoying Cape Town. And, of course, Heather & Bruce are on hand downstairs.
I should have no hesitation in staying there again.

Perfect in every way!

Greenkeeper Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The location couldn't be better: it's in a quiet residential street only a couple of minutes' drive from the N2, which gets you into the suburbs of Cape Town within 10-15 minutes. There's easy access to lovely seaside towns like Kalk Bay, and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance, including a decent pub and a lovely Italian. Your two balconies look out over the golf course and dramatic mountain scenery. But the real appeal of this accommodation, where we spent 11 wonderful days, is the comfort. Heather and Bruce make you so welcome, providing fruit, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine: they even did some shopping for basics as we were arriving late on a Saturday. You have total privacy and yet easy communication with your hosts by telephone provided in the apartment. It's a real home-from-home: the bathroom and bedroom are spacious and quite luxurious. The quality of the furnishings and fabrics is lovely, and the bed was the most comfortable one we've ever had in any holiday accommodation. There are all sorts of thoughtful touches, including toiletries and kitchen basics such as teabags, oils, even rubber gloves! We had a few nights in, sitting on the big balcony watching the sun go down, cooking, drinking the delightful local wines and star-spotting. There's a barbecue which Bruce kindly brought up to the balcony for our use, and the swimming pool is idyllic, with sun-loungers and a shady bower for those delicate complexions! All in all, we had a completely fabulous holiday, thanks in no small part to our great luck in booking Greenkeeper Lodge!

Lovely introduction to Cape Town

We stayed at Greenkeeper Lodge for the first 5 nights of our first visit to South Africa. It was a lovely introduction to Cape Town. We could not have been more comfortable and Mr & Mrs Powers were extremely helpful and welcoming. The apartment is beautiful equipped and we were very appreciative of touches such as a bowl of fruit and basics such as tea, coffee etc. We found the location perfect for all the sightseeing we wanted to do. I would thoroughly recommend Greenkeeper Lodge.

Spotless apartment.
Impecable service.
Very friendly service.
Lovely view with country feeling and lots of visiting birds and squirrels.
Lots of very pleasant walks in the area and a great little Italian restaurant just down the road.
Two Malls within 5 minutes drive for the shopaholics and the sea and beaches also within 10 minutes drive.
A stones throw from the Constantia wine route and easy access to the main highways to explore the Peninsula and the interior.
All in all a great base to stay and operate from when visiting the Western Cape and i would most certainly recomend this property to my relations and friends.
The owners are a lovely couple and are most approachable when help or guidance is required.

We spent 5 nights in this apartment and found it an excellent base for exploring Cape Town and the peninsular. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, well equipped and has wonderful views over the golf course. Heather & Bruce were very helpful and offered us good advice as first timer visitors to South Africa. We would have no reservation in booking here again when we return to this wonderful country.

"We have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenkeeper Lodge. Everything that we needed to make ourselves comfortable and at home was there, and the welcome we received from hosts Bruce and Heather was one that made us feel like old friends! The bed was one of the best that we have come across in the various accommodations that we have stayed at - not to mention the 'stars' on the ceiling which were charming. The view from the deck and the bedroom was just beautiful. One feels that one is right in the mountains. Lovely. Thank you for making our visit so very enjoyable and we will definitely stay with you next time we are in Cape Town.

The living room is open-plan and includes a well-equipped kitchenette and a small 4-seater dining table. The kitchenette is stocked with some basics: oil; herbs and spices; tea, coffee and sugar; paper towel and plastic wrap. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary bowl of fruit, some tea time nibbles and a bottle of wine. The washing machine and tumble drier are not located in the apartment but are available to guests and can be accessed independently. A landing connecting the rooms provides ample storage for bulky suitcases and golfbags. A fan or heater is available on request and electric blankets provided during winter.
