Lovely cottage with one or two faults.

We stayed in this cottage the lst week of June, me, my partner and my mother. The cottage at first glance is lovely and has everything you could possibly want and decor is great. Location of the cottage is also a plus, close to shops, pubs and within walking distance of Windermere, where you could catch trains and buses if you didnt want to drive, but parking even with a permit can be a nightmare if you decide you wanted a day out just be aware that if you do decide to go out you may loose the parking outside the house and if this happens then you can park from 6.00pm till 8.00 for free next to the cinema.
If i have any negatives about this cottage would be firstly the housekeeping it wanst bad but it could be better. The floor in the kitchen had deffinately not been done, bits all over the floor and the rug by the back door. The bathroom has no shaving socket, we have electric toothbrushes so they were flat after two days. The bathroom could also do with and extractor and although the bath looked great for practicalities it wasnt easy to get into the shower if you were an elderly lady as there was nothing to grab onto and the bath is rather deep. A grab rail would be a good idea. The main bedroom was lovely and comfortable but the window does not open, not only was this fire hazard (no escape route) but it was very warm during our stay and no air! can be stifling..... The room my mother stayed in the window open but didnt stay open unless you propped it open! The one and only socket was too far away from mirror for hairdryer to be used so hence mom used my room!.
I would also say that the cotage is probably ideal for 2 adults and 2 small children but would be over growded with four adults!.
These are just minor issues which could be rectified and make this cottage a little more comfortable but all in all it was lovely and would deffinatley stay again if the above had been done....
