'Los Loros ' it is an ancient house rehabilitated tastefully: floors of parquet of jatoba in the room and bedrooms, floors and blue rollers porcelánicos, double crystals in the windows.
The walls are ancient, with a width of 60 cm of thickness and the very well carved ceilings of wood.
Is outlined the exquisite decoration and the pleasant and cosy environment that it wraps to all the stays of the house.
All this in a wide interior and exterior space, since the housing possesses porch and a great terrace, in which it is possible to sunbathe, have breakfast and admire the exuberant nature that makes a detour to the house.
On arrival we were very pleased, the house and location looked perfect.
Unfortunately after a day or two we noticed a strong damp musty smell in the main bedroom, due to the damp flank walls, so much so that we were forced to abandon use of the bedroom due to the continual seepage of water, the water formed pools on the stone interior. To avoid asthma attacks and chest infections, we had to move from the smelly wet room onto the attic floor. We needed to move the bed mattress into the attic as the single beds in attic, placed too close to the roof and there was no bedding.
Supply of towels was also insufficient supply of towels resulting in having to launder every other day.
The Jacuzzi which was a selling point to me, also proved a great disappointment. After a very tough day walking I looked forward to a long soak and massage, the hot water runs out before there is adequate water to use the Jacuzzi, therefore to use the Jacuzzi you must have cold water.
Also and finally, as mentioned in a previous comment there was insufficient heat in the property.
This was all very disappointing as the property is perfectly located for walking and the frog chorus in the evening was wonderful.
We had a fantastic holiday in this cottage. When we arrived in Vallehermoso, the owner picked us up and showed us the pittoresc way to Los Loros ( 5 km from Vallehermoso). The house is almost not visible from the road, so very private and the view is Wonderful. It's a very clean and well maintaned place, with everything you need. The different terraces provide sun or shadow, just what you want.
Most of the day's were sunny, but not too warm to make a beautiful walk on the island. When it's a bit cold on the mountain, it can be nice and warm in Vallehermoso, where you can drink a zumo (fruitjuce) of fresh strawberry or mango.
When you suffer motion sickness, you should take some medicine with you, because there is no single straight road on la Gomera.
The nature is amazing and the hiking routes are usually well maintaned and good to find.
We would recommand a holiday on la Gomera if you like nature, hiking, don't need 'tourist things'. There are nice restaurants and bars, good roads and nice people.
Thank you Fernando!
We had a wonderful holiday at this idyllic cottage. The weather was perfect, we sunbathed on the terrace and walked from the doorstep. only regret...we forgot to take our shorts!! Great scenery, a deep amazing silence, we were totally refreshed and reluctant to go back home. Very comfortable cottage we hope to come again!

Cottage fine, location excellent, however, almost constant overhead cloud from nearby 1000+ meter mountain and low winter sun only rose above steep valley sides for brief period at mid-day. Cottage heating inadequate. Left after 2 days of planned 3 week stay.
The rural house ' Los Loros ' is placed in the high part of the village of Vallehermoso, in the zone of the same name. A charming place, where the greenery of the fields abounds and where the majority of the houses are ancient.
The house and his environment is the ideal place for the rest and for the one who looks for tranquillity and calm.
It is to 4 kilometres of Vallehermoso's centre and closely together of the National Park Garajonay, declared Heritage of the Humanity for the UNESCO in 1986.
One of the paths, for which you can cross the park, it is closely together of the little house.
