Peach cottage is a traditional detached 'longere' in the French countryside. Set in nearly an acre of private grounds it offers peace and privacy. Ideally placed for visiting Loire and Loir Valleys, it is only 30 minutes from the races at le Mans, and the same to Tours. The large salon has a beamed ceiling and a massive fireplace with a wood burning stove. There are 2 comfy sofas for relaxing, a TV with DVD/CD and an antique dining table. The shower room and kitchen are very clean and modern with a halogen hob, dishwasher, full oven and large fridge freezer. There is an automatic washer. The two bedrooms are light and bright, with windows onto the gardens, and traditional shutters, great for long lie-ins. The large garden offers a terrace with barbecue, garden furniture and a boules pitch. Lie back and relax in the shade of the many fruit trees. A large games barn offers table tennis table, darts etc. A 4.5m plunge pool and badminton set are also available for your enjoyment.

Peach cottage offers total peace and privacy. Detached and Not Overlooked. Ideal for exploring the world heritage sites of the Loire and Loir Valleys, with all the famous Chateaux, vineyards & gardens within easy reach. Between June and September there are festivals and fairs in local villages, with fireworks, son et lumieres and you can enjoy local foods and wines on warm summer evenings. The nearest town is Chateau la Valliere, around 3 miles away. It offers a traditional boulangerie, patisserie, boucherie and epicerie, as well as a well stocked supermarket. It has several restaurants, a weekly market and a pretty swimming lake. The cosmopolitan city of Tours, with its medieval old town and pavement cafes and Le Mans with its world famous races and car museum are only 30 minutes easy drive. Several local lakes and rivers offer swimming, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and waterslides. A round of golf is only a few minutes drive away, horse riding at the local stables

Had a great time with with all the attractions of the local area and with all the facilities in the cottage.

Visited a few chateaux in the local area but the children quickly pointed out the benefits of staying in the cottage. Plenty of space for them to run around in the large garden, play in the pool, or play table tennis, while the parents sample the local wines.

Cottage was clean and well maintained and just as advertised in a very peaceful and quiet area. Friendly local caretaker came to keep the garden tidy and the pool clean.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Peach cottage was so relaxing, lovely location, ideal to visit surrounding regions like tours and saumur. Handy having washing machine and dishwasher.
