This original & stylish loft is situated on the 1st floor (but with soundproof windows!) of a historical building, next to the popular Calle Larios & Plaza de la Constitucion and steps away to Malaga’s Cathedral, Picasso Museum and the upcoming (March 2011) Thyssen Bornemisza Museum.

The Loft Pastor can host up to 5 persons (2+2+1) in its 50 m², and has been recently renovated, featuring parquet floor and high wooden ceilings. On the ground there is the 1st bedroom & in front, you have the bathroom with hydrotherapy shower massage column. The 2nd double bed is located in the original chill out mezzanine (1,65 mts height), a cosy-bohemian space to take pleasure in some reading & resting!

The living room has a pop art touch & you'll find a comfortable sofa, dinning table for 4, a closed balcony and a fully equipped kitchen.

The Feria de Málaga (Fair of Malaga) is a great cultural and artistic event celebrated in the city, which will take place from the 13th until the 22nd of August 2010.

Referring to its history, the Feria of Málaga has its origins in the commemoration of the incorporation of Malaga to the Crown of Castilla by the Catholic Kings, Fernando and Isabel, who went to the city the 19th of August in 1487, which was retaken and they recovered the image of the Virgin of the Victory for the city. Since then, there have been parades in the bullring of Málaga (La Malagueta) by great masters of the bullfighting.

Before midnight, the people from Malaga and the rest of the fair visitors are all in the Playas de la Malagueta (Malagueta beaches) in order to listen to the “Pregón de la Feria” (town crier of the fair), from which the fair is inaugurated; continuing with fantastic fireworks, with many sounds and lights which last around 30 minutes.

Don’t forget to taste the delicious food that you can find in the fair, as well as good wine, Spanish jam, fried fish, tapas, and many others meals, and enjoy the great variety of music and typical dances from Andalusia which are in the fair all of the days of the celebration.

Extremely noisy

This loft is really noisy. There is no double glass in the windows and it is located on the first floor on a narrow pedestrian street with restaurants and bars. In addition one can hear the next door apartments, the apartment above and the lift going up and down. Basically, it is not insulated and it was impossible to sleep between 2-3 in the morning and 8 when people started getting ready for work etc. If you don't mind this, the loft itself was really cute and had everything you needed. The bed on the loft is availble through an extremely narrow and steep staircase. No issue if you are a good climber. The hand over with the key went smoothly, but the agency did not find another place for us when we complained about not being able to sleep. Instead we paid for a different place for our last night to get away.

Please accept our most sincere apology for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay at Loft Pastor. We are very sorry for not being able to provide you with a different apartment at the time of your reservation, we would have changed your apartment for a different one but due to the Film Festival we had no available apartments. We always take great care regarding all reservations and hope to provide as much comfort as possible to all guests.

Unfortunately there was a group staying in one of the neighbouring apartments, we did not expect any trouble from them and were not expecting their loud beahviour. They were at the time duly warned about respecting other guests staying at neighbouring apartments. Unfortunately they took no heed of the warnings. We have not had any comments on the amount of noise in the apartment from other guests. Obviously there is a certain amount of noise to be expected when staying in any city center, although this noise may have been more than usual due to the Film Festival which is held within the city and its streets.

Yet again we apologize for all the inconveniences during your stay, please understand that if there was anything else we could have done to solve these problems we would have done so without question.

Winter Holiday in Malaga

My sister and I enjoyed our short stay in in Malaga and will definitely return to Loft Pastor. The holiday season had just begun and the Christmas lights were beautiful. This is truly an enchanting place. Everything is right there at your fingertips: nightlife, delicious restaurants, flamenco performances, fantastic shopping and more.

Trendy loft in central location

Really kooky, super-trendy decor and layout in an incredibly central location. The owner has really thought about the detail and its all very clean, modern and functional. As for the location, it was perfect. I loved walking out the front door straight into the little back streets of the old town which came alive with cafes and restaurants in the night. Only downside of this was the noise that carried on till quite late. I recommend earplugs or just staying up, going out and contributing to the noise.
Would definitely recommend to friends but probably best suited to a couple as upstairs mezzanine bed was pretty hard and not ideal to climb up and down from.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

My experience with Loft pastor

The property is great. clean, tidy and stylish but probably better for young and adaptable inviduals. I say young as the stairs are alittle narrow so asssuming the young are more energetic and enjoy the thrill of it it should be fine. The features of the property mentioned in the listing is fairly accurate, all i need to add is the bedrooms are not seperated by doors but simply arrangement of the beds. it is comfortable and shouldnt be a problem if ur travelling with friends and looking to be out most of the day.

It is located in a great place, restaurants are directly below the apartment which can be seen as both a positive and negative (the acessibilty and the noise hence I mentioned adaptable). There is also the Picasso museum & Cathedral which are 5 minutes aways, the Beach, Train and Alcazaba tower and more which are about 10-15 minutes away (depending on the walk).

The train tickets are cheap and easy to use, best to have maps in advance and also keep language book as not many people speak English but are helpful all the same.

I will definitely return to the property should I ever return to Malaga.
