PETIT ET CHARMANT BUDGET FLAT

My wife daughter and I had a wonderful time staying in this lovely Upper East Side apartment. After all the hustle and bustle of a day in the City the quiet of the Upper East Side and the beauty of Julia and Claudio's home is truly an Oasis.
Julia, Claudio and their staff were so very helpful with all of our needs and requests. We had quite a few requests as our daughter is preschool aged. The apartment was a highlight for her, especially the elevator and ringing the bell with Claudio!! We felt very safe staying in the clean and well kept apartment with our daughter.
We arrived as their guests, we left as their friends, and we are looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to the big Apple.

We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely Upper East Side apartment. The location could not be better for visiting NYC. After all the hustle and bustle of a day in the City the quiet of the Upper East Side and the beauty of Julia's home is truly an Oasis. You are close to Central Park, fantastic restaurants, and museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Frick. The apartment was very clean and everything was in very good shape. We are looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to the big Apple.

We had the privilege of staying with Julia and Claudio Zanetti in their fabulous townhouse in November of this year. This was the last leg of our trip to the USA and we were specifically looking not to stay in a hotel, but rather opted for a self-catering unit close to 5th avenue and Central Park. Well, what a gem this is, less than a full block from both 5th avenue and Central Park in beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the smaller flat downstairs, the Petit et Charmant budget flat. The flat is perfect for couples and boasts wireless internet and cable TV. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to make the most of self catering accommodation. The bathroom is small, but has a shower, loo and small basin, which was all we needed. There is enough cupboard space for two travellers and the bed is super comfortable. The heating in the flat is superb and helped keep the NYC cold at bay. I must mention that Hurricane Sandy had passed through less than a week before, but thankfully this part of Manhattan was mostly unaffected. Julia is a magnificent host and made us feel at home from the moment we met her. No demands or requests were considered too much effort and she was always available to answer questions and give advice on what to do in NYC. She popped in once daily just to have a chat and see how we were doing and took us on a tour of her magnificent townhouse, it just made the entire experience so much more personalised and special. The apartment is well serviced and is always immaculately clean thanks to daily housekeeping. Although there is a safe, we really did not feel the need to lock anything away and comfortably left our valuables out as we would do at home. We were Julia's first South African guests and she really went out of her way to make us feel at home, which we most certainly did. We would highly recommend this apartment for travellers who are looking for something which is unique, well priced and centrally located, but who are not in the mood for a hotel. Public transport is readily available, although we walked to most of our destinations as this is really the best way to experience NYC. This was our first time in NYC, but I will most certainly return in future and stay with Julia and Claudio if at all possible. All in all a fantastic experience and very well recommended.
