Great home!

When a group of friends and I decided to travel to Sardegna in November, we actually had a hard time finding a home that was still accepting guests. The entire island seems to shut down in October and doesn't come back to life until the Spring. Fine with us as we were looking for a quite, relaxing get-away.
The home is beautiful, spacious and clean. I traveled in a group of 5 and we had room to spread out and really enjoy the villa, especially the amazing views from the balcony. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a full kitchen. We actually cooked a full Thanksgiving meal as we happened to be there over the (American) holiday. Dishes, linens, etc. were all included in the price. The final cleaning was even included, which was a nice treat after being quoted additional 100-euro+ fees from a few other villas we looked at.
The villa is situated in a great location. Just isolated enough to be dead quiet at night with the most amazing view of the stars but only a 5-10 minute drive to restaurants, beaches, markets, etc. The walk up the mountain from the villa is breathtaking with sweeping 360 views and well worth the effort. It's about a 2 hour hike to the top, if you're moving slow and taking lots of pictures.
As mentioned in other reviews, Ennio is an impeccable host. Part of our group arrived via ferry in the morning and the other part arrived via rental car (via plane) in the afternoon. Ennio must have spent his entire day picking the first arrival up at the Olbia port (about 30 minutes from the villa) around 9am and then meeting the rest of us in town (about 15 minutes from the villa) at 4pm; always happy to greet us and show us the way to the house. He was then at the house bright and early (6am, ugh!) on our departure day to see us off with a smile and well wishes.
Overall, we all loved our stay at Villa la Gjanda, would recommend it to others and hope to be back some day!
