A new light and airy 2 bedroom bungalow
Completed 2009 this holiday let has a master with double bed and a single bedroom with bunk beds. There is a large dining room/sitting room with kitchen off. The bathroom has bath and shower over. For winter breaks/short breaks the property has full gas central heating. Entrance to the property is via level ground and therefore suits those who struggle with steps. All items were new in 2009 including cooker/fridge/freezer, 32 In. TV/DVD player. The spacious accommodation is light and airy with plenty of room for the young to roam. There is an enclosed garden area for sole use including patio area with table and chairs however guests are encouraged to use the main properties garden which has a trampoline, rope swing and hot tub.
A gas barbecue is available for guests, baby sitting can be arranged.
The price includes electric and gas (supplement required for winter bookings). Towels and bed linen are also provided. Some beach items are available.
Redruth; Historically the worlds mining capital : Cornwall, and in particular Redruth,is well known for its mining history. The area shows many of the old mine workings some of which have been partially restored and now provide excellent informative walks. the Great Flat Load allows visitors to enjoy the area on cycles. For the more adventurous the restored tram way from Portreath to Devoran enables vistors to cycle from one side of the coast to the other; a total of 11miles. There are two cycle hire stores nearby one just outside Portreath and the second at Bissoe.
The Gold Centre is just over a mile away and some of the old ore dressing workings are operational.
At Pool (2miles) the working beam engine of East Pool mine and across the road the larger but not yet fully restored beam engine of the East Pool and Agar mine provide and insight into mining conditions of yesteryear.
Local beaches: Buzzards Cottage is an ideal location to visit the numerous beaches. Whilst Porthtowan and Portreath are only 2.5 miles away the property makes getting to other coasts extremely easy. Falmouth; Newquay; St Ives and Penzance are only some half an hour away whilst the 7 miles of Golden Sands at Godrevey through to Hayle are only 9 miles away.
Why not visit Falmouth utilising the unusual Park and float scheme. This allows visitors to park in Penryn and travel into Falmouth by boat. For a small additional fee you can venture across to St Mawes. A pleasant trip even if you don't have great sea legs.....
Truro City: The city of Truro is only 9 miles away by car whilst the park and Ride scheme is only 7 miles away. Truro with its cobbled streets;magnificient Cathedral and the entertainment facility at the Hall for Cornwall provides something for all ages.
