Barry House was originally built in 1850 as a Victorian family home. It was converted into a B&B in the 1950's with traditionally high ceilings on the lower floors and many unique features.
The Hyde Park Estate is one of the prettiest areas of central London with several key attractions nearby and great transport links.
This is a lovely little spot well located close to Paddington station so it's easy to get around London and use this as a base for your visit. The staff are friendly and the beds are comfortable. A real surprise was the comfort of the beds which were above average and we had a great sleep. Also the bathroom was renovated and was relatively large compared to some other places where we also stayed on the same trip. overall great value.
Located on the Hyde Park estate just north of the famous park. we are just 3 minutes walk away from Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Station.
Within Walking distance is the West End and the shoppers paradise of Oxford Street and Bond Street and attractions such as Madame Tussaud's and for the more serious the museums of South Kensington. Ideally located for most London theatre shows.
Other nearby attractions include Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace; Big Ben and Westminster Abbey; Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square
