Luca's apartment is really well located. In the heart of Campo di Fiori and right next to Trastevere. You feel at home right away because it is decorated with taste and as cachet. A/C was working fine, kitchen is already stocked with oils and condiments, wich we appreciated. Really confortable and convenient place! There's a gelato, supermarket, café just a few steps from the apartment. Luca is really helpful and recommanded great places to eat at or to visit. You should know 3 things : - the second bedroom is open, no doors and the noise at night can be disturbing, bring ear plugs! Also the climb up the stairs with suitcases is something, but a great daily exercise! We recommand it if you want to be in the heart of the action! We would return and most probably will!!
The apartment is just as advertised! Spacious and nicely furnished and in a wonderful location. The apartment fit a family of five perfectly and really felt like home. I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Lucca's apartment - we were able to relax, cook (eat our left-overs) and enjoy having our own apartment in Rome. The location couldn't be better - everything was within walking distance, we didn't take any public transportation, though there is bus service at the end of the block. There are shops/cafe/grocery store right down stairs and you are in the middle of the energy that is Rome. Two items might concern potential renters: 1 is the apartment is on the 3rd floor - wonderful for light and privacy, but it is a climb. Didn't bother us at all and it was good to have the extra exercise walking off all that wonderful pasta. The other is the possible noise w/ the windows open. The apartment is on a small street, but is on the way to one of the bridges over the river, so there is a lot of foot traffic. Lucca has very good windows that keep out the noise when closed, so we were fine (we were there in the spring). For us it was the PERFECT place and I can recommend the apartment with all my heart.
REALLY GREAT! The apartment was very spacious and clean with comfortable, clean, modern furniture. Nice, big eat-in kitchen, which is good for a family or group of friends. Comfortable master bed and second bed. This is not junky, second-hand furniture like you see in a lot of places. Also, plenty of room to walk around and stretch out. So many apartments are so tiny! This one is quite roomy. The second (double) bed is semi-open to the living room, so if you're two couples, for example, one couple will lack a little privacy. However, for a family or group of friends (or one couple of course), this place is p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Plenty of windows and tons of natural light. Open them up and listen to the sounds of Rome by day and night - music to my ears - or close them and hear... nothing. Also, after staying in dozens of places throughout Rome and Italy, I can tell you that this apartment has the best functioning bathrooms I've seen. It has great water pressure, and the water is hot! And a working washing machine! I can't say enough about the amazing location. Turn right and you're facing Trastevere (Piazza Trilussa) across the river. Turn left and you're practically in the middle of Campo de' Fiori (wonderful outdoor market and super nightlife). A few more steps and you're in Piazza Navona. Also, if you turn right out of the apartment and go about 30 yards, there's a small grocery store for all your breakfast needs. Very convenient. Third floor, no elevator, but if I can handle it, you can handle it - it's no big deal. The check-in and check-out were without problems. Signora Ida was there precisely on time and is utterly delightful. I will absolutely stay there again. I wanted to live there!
